**** Chimney Fire ****

Late last night your Suisun City Firefighters responded to a chimney fire in the 1400 block of Monitor Ave. The fire was contained to the chimney and roof area. No injuries were reported.

🚨 Traffic Accident 🚨

SCFD Engine 47, Engine 547, and Fairfield FD Battalion 37 are currently on scene of a multi-vehicle accident on westbound Highway 12 at Walters Road. The accident is non-injury, but there is a leaking propane tank in a trailer that crews are working to access and secure.
Please avoid the area.

🔥2nd Alarm Residential Fire – 1100 Block of Tioga Way🔥

On August 26th at approximately 1:30 PM, Suisun City Firefighters were dispatched to a residential structure fire involving a armed barricaded individual. Upon arrival, fire crews staged nearby while Suisun Police Department worked to safely resolve the situation.

Approximately 15 minutes later, the individual was detained by Suisun PD, allowing fire personnel to begin suppression efforts. Due to the fire’s progression, the incident was upgraded to a 2nd alarm.

Thanks to an aggressive interior attack, firefighters were able to contain the fire to the building of origin. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Vegetation Fire – Sunset Ave and Railroad Ave

On the evening of August 13 at approximately 6:30 PM, SCFD responded to a reported vegetation fire in the area of Sunset Avenue and Railroad Avenue. Upon arrival, crews encountered approximately half an acre of vegetation burning with a moderate rate of spread.
Due to increased wind activity and the threat to nearby residences, the incident was quickly upgraded to a First Alarm, and subsequently to a Second Alarm as the fire continued to grow. Firefighters acted swiftly to contain the spread and successfully prevented the fire from crossing a nearby canal. The fire was contained at approximately one acre.

Today, Suisun City Fire Department Engine 47 and Engine 547 responded to the Suisun City boat launch for a report of a vehicle in the water. Upon arrival, crews found the vehicle fully submerged; fortunately, all occupants had safely evacuated prior to SCFD’s arrival. SCFD personnel assisted the Suisun City Police Department, Solano County Sheriff’s Office, and the Solano OES Dive Team in the recovery of the vehicle.

🇺🇸 Busy 4th of July for Suisun City Firefighters 🇺🇸

The Suisun City Fire Department had another active 4th of July, responding to a variety of incidents throughout the day and into the night. Our crews remained busy within city limits, handling multiple calls ranging from medical emergencies and public safety concerns to fireworks-related incidents and fires.

We’d like to thank our firefighters for their dedication and professionalism, as well as our community members who celebrated safely and responsibly. Your cooperation helps us keep Suisun City safe during this high-call-volume holiday.

Suisun City Firefighters are currently on scene responding to a vegetation fire near Webster Street and Highway 12. Crews have successfully contained the fire to approximately 1/4 acre and will remain on site to complete mop-up operations.
