One of our regular Bloody Mary breakfast cooks and Worthy Conductor, Mickey Hansen, is moving to Texas this summer. While no one can fill his big shoes, we do need additional people to help cook on the first Sunday of the month. Having several cooks on the roster means they can rotate Sundays.

Happy Memorial Day! We extend our gratitude to those whose family members died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. May their memories live forever in our hearts.

Thanks to everyone who came out Saturday to help us raise money for the Virginia Special Olympics. Everyone had fun dancing to Brother Shafie's music and enjoying good food and company. But most importantly, we reconfirmed our commitment to help others by making it possible for more kids to participate in the Olympic games.

Shrimp (fried or spiced) and chicken wings are on the menu this Friday, May 22, 5:30-7:30 pm. Add corn and coleslaw and you get dinner for $13-$15. We need just two more people to help us serve meals and clean up.

FOE 871 members were out and about this weekend supporting the 20th Bonanza Extravaganza!

This great event supports The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) in Hagerstown, MD. IAFF’s Local 1605 chapter is made up of 143 dedicated professional firefighters from Hagerstown and the Washington County Department of Emergency Services. People helping People!
