Day 10: Last Day of the Free Chess Classes Program for Women in the Philippines

Day 10 marked the final session of our Free Chess Classes Program dedicated to WOMEN in the Philippines. What started as a simple initiative became a powerful space where women could learn, grow, and support one another through chess.

This program was created to empower WOMEN — to give them confidence, knowledge, and a community where they feel seen and valued. Move by move, we witnessed courage, improvement, and stronger belief in their abilities. Beyond the board, these women strengthened their critical thinking, patience, and resilience.

We sincerely hope more groups and organizations will collaborate with us so we can continue offering FREE chess classes for WOMEN and reach even more aspiring female players across the country.

Our heartfelt thank you to Girl Chess Power and Beyond for the meaningful collaboration. Your support made this initiative possible and impactful.

This may be the end of the program, but it is only the beginning of greater opportunities for WOMEN in chess. 💗

Thank you to iWRITE Literacy Organization for including Girl Chess Power and Beyond as one of their activity partners at the 16th Annual iWRITE Book Signing & Literacy Festival!

This year, the iWRITE Nonprofit Organization invited students in grades 3–12 to submit short stories, poetry, and artwork to their annual publishing contest, I Write Short Stories by Kids for Kids.

Congratulations to the 150 newly published authors and illustrators featured in the 2025 contest’s 16th anthology — and a special shout-out to the four published authors, Elly, Nellie, Natalie and Zoe, from Girl Chess Power and Beyond’s fellowship program!

The festival was free and open to the public, offering a full day of creativity and fun for families and young readers.
