Big news: The Stroke Foundation’s new Caregiving Fund is now live. ❤️

After a stroke, recovery doesn’t stop when someone leaves the hospital. Many survivors still need daily support at home, and too often, families are left trying to manage it alone.

The Caregiving Fund was created to help cover the cost of licensed and certified in-home care services, including:
• Personal care support
• Mobility & transfer assistance
• Supervision & safety support
• Meal support & daily tasks
• Skilled nursing care

This program is designed to help make recovery at home more manageable, sustainable, and accessible for stroke survivors and their families.

Funds are paid directly to licensed agencies and certified providers.

Recovery after stroke doesn’t stop when you leave the hospital. Communication, memory, language, and cognitive challenges can affect every part of daily life — but access to therapy shouldn’t be another barrier.

That’s why The Stroke Foundation is partnering with nyra therapy to provide our community with one free month of personalized speech, language, and cognitive therapy support from home. 💙

Designed for people recovering from stroke and other neurological conditions, nyra therapy offers guided exercises tailored to each person’s needs, pace, and progress.

One year ago, Mac survived a stroke.

This year, he ran 51 miles to help give other stroke survivors the second chance he received.

Mac has spent decades turning endurance into impact, but this run carried a deeply personal purpose. Every dollar raised through Mac’s fundraiser goes toward helping stroke survivors access the rehabilitation they need to keep recovering.

Mac, thank you for showing us what resilience, generosity, and hope look like in action. Our team and our community are so grateful for you.

Stroke recovery is not one feeling. It can be gratitude and grief. Progress and frustration. Hope and fear. Strength and exhaustion.

For many survivors and caregivers, life after stroke means learning to hold more than one truth at the same time. Your feelings are valid. Your progress matters. And you do not have to navigate recovery alone.

Help a stroke survivor continue their recovery!

Recovery doesn’t end when someone leaves the hospital, and it doesn’t end when insurance coverage runs out.

For many stroke survivors, continued therapy is essential. But too often, coverage is limited, and the cost of care becomes a barrier just as progress is being made.

The Stroke Survivor Fund provides direct financial assistance so survivors can keep going—accessing physical, occupational, and speech therapy when they need it most.

Because progress shouldn’t depend on what someone can afford.

Donate today to help more stroke survivors access the therapy they need to keep moving forward.

If you’re feeling this—you are not alone.

is a critical part of recovery for both survivors and caregivers.

Recovery after stroke isn’t just about big milestones.

It’s about the small wins.
The everyday routines.
The return to independence.

Occupational therapists help make those moments possible!

This , we’re celebrating the OTs who support stroke survivors in getting their lives back, one step at a time. 💪💛

This past weekend, our work was presented at the European Life After Stroke Forum as part of the Lived Experience poster session.

Our poster, Bridging the Recovery Gap, shares why The Stroke Foundation exists and the reality many survivors face after leaving the hospital. Recovery doesn’t end at discharge, yet too many families are left navigating therapy access, finances, and long-term care on their own.

We’re grateful to see survivor-led work included in global conversations about life after stroke.

Our hope is simple: every survivor deserves the same chance to recover.
