This Sickle Cell Awareness Month, awareness must lead to action.
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. proudly joins our partners at the Sickle Cell Society of America in raising awareness about sickle cell disease and encouraging our Brothers, families, and communities to take action.
This month, we challenge every Brother to do three things:
DONATE BLOOD: Your donation can help provide lifesaving support to those who need it.
GET TESTED : Know your sickle cell trait status and encourage your family and loved ones to do the same.
RAISE AWARENESS : Use your voice, your chapter, and your community connections to educate others about sickle cell disease and the importance of supporting those impacted.
Our commitment to service includes advocating for healthier communities and ensuring important health conversations reach the people we serve.
Give blood. Know your status. Spread the word.

Remembering Fred Hampton: A Legacy of Social Action, Community Power & Black Liberation ✊🏾
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. honors the life and legacy of Fred Hampton, the influential Chicago activist and Black Panther Party leader whose commitment to organizing, political education, coalition building, and community service left an enduring mark on the struggle for racial and economic justice.
Hampton understood that lasting change required more than words—it required organized action. His leadership emphasized empowering communities through education, food programs, access to resources, and collective advocacy. Through his work building the Rainbow Coalition, Hampton also demonstrated the power of bringing people from different racial and cultural backgrounds together around shared struggles against poverty, inequality, and injustice.
Although his life was cut tragically short at just 21 years old, his influence continues to resonate in conversations about Black liberation, civil rights, community organizing, economic justice, police accountability, and grassroots activism.
For Phi Beta Sigma, a Brotherhood founded upon Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service, Hampton's legacy reminds us that social action is not simply about recognizing injustice—it is about organizing people, serving communities, building coalitions, and working toward meaningful change.
We remember Fred Hampton and the generations of activists who dared to imagine stronger, more empowered communities.
