Don't miss tonight's program!
As head researcher Jasmine Goodspeed writes, "There are many more suspicious elements in the foundation of the town of Sudbury, and the interactions between the Native peoples and early Sudbury inhabitants. It is not a difficult paper trail to follow, however it does require the dismantling of patriotism towards this "frontier town". In order for the town's history to be questioned, and for Indigenous perspectives to be respected, we must allow ourselves to engage Indigenous narratives with honor to the validity of our voices."
This project is supported in part by with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
