The Martin County 4-H Archery Club is about much more than learning to shoot a bow.

Our members are developing focus, patience, discipline, responsibility, and confidence as they work to improve their archery skills. Each practice is an opportunity to learn something new, challenge themselves, and encourage one another.

The goal is to build skills and confidence in archery that carry over into everyday life.

Through 4-H, young people are becoming more focused, capable, and confident while having fun along the way!

The Martin County 4-H Fishing Club is about more than just catching fish. It’s about learning new skills, building relationships, and having fun together!

Our anglers put their skills to work while fishing for bluegill, bass, tilapia, and cichlids. Every fishing trip is an opportunity for our youth to grow their confidence, learn from one another, and enjoy the outdoors.

A huge THANK YOU to Hobe Sound Farmers Market for allowing our 4-H Fishing Club to fish on their lake! We appreciate your support of Martin County 4-H and the opportunities you provide for our youth.

The Martin County 4-H Teen Leadership Club visited the Stuart Heritage Museum as they prepare for an exciting civic engagement project with the Smithsonian Institute!

The teens explored Martin County’s history and learned more about the people, places, and events that have helped shape our community. A special thank you to Mrs. Woods, our docent, for guiding the group and sharing her knowledge!

Experiences like this help our teens connect the past to the present while developing the knowledge and confidence they need to become engaged citizens and community leaders. We’re excited to see how they take what they learned and put it into action with their upcoming Smithsonian project!

More Than Raising a Hog- We’re Raising the Next Generation

When a 4-H member takes on the UF Hog & Ham Project, they’re taking on much more than a livestock project. They’re taking on a responsibility that teaches lessons that will stay with them long after the project ends.

Every day, these young people learn that animals depend on them. They learn about nutrition, animal health, handling, record keeping, budgeting, decision-making, and the importance of showing up and doing the work even when it isn’t convenient.

And there’s something especially valuable about learning these lessons through agriculture.

🐷 They learn where their food comes from.
🌱 They gain an appreciation for the people who produce it.
📚 They develop skills through hands-on learning.
💪 They build confidence, responsibility, and work ethic.
🤝 They learn that success comes from commitment and consistency.

Not every 4-H member will become a farmer, veterinarian, or livestock producer. But every one of them will become a consumer. Helping young people understand agriculture and food production is an investment in an informed generation that understands the work, resources, and people behind the food on their table.

That’s why supporting livestock projects matters.

When you support 4-H livestock programs, you aren't simply helping a young person raise an animal. You’re helping raise capable, responsible young people who understand agriculture, value hard work, and are prepared for whatever comes next.

Skill. Focus. Confidence. Growth.

The members of our Sharpshooters 4-H Club are putting their skills to work and the results speak for themselves!

As our 4-H members continue to practice and learn, they are becoming more accurate, more confident, and more competent in their abilities. But the real goal goes beyond hitting the target. Through their 4-H projects, members are developing focus, patience, discipline, responsibility, and confidence that they can carry with them far beyond the range.

Watching a 4-H member stand proudly beside a target like this is a great reminder that progress comes from practice, perseverance, and believing in yourself.

We’re proud of the growth we’re seeing from our Sharpshooters! 💚🎯
