Memorial Day 2026

Thank you to BSA Troop 167 - West Central Valley and Pack 167 Cub Scouts for marking the graves of our fallen. Thank you Stuart Fire Department for helping us with the big flags. Thank you Robert Cook for the pictures! Most importantly, thank you to the area residents who choose to attend this service remembering those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and those that have passed that served our nation ensuring our freedoms! It's amazing the young kids that show up and ask why we do this.

The Stuart American Legion truly appreciates the donations by all listed and those that support this bi annual event! Our thanks to all who participated in our annual Veterans Day meal! It was a phenomenal success! Special thanks to the Stuart Veterans Memorial Committee for their hard work getting raffle/auction items and providing dishes for the meal, our local Scout Troop 167 members who set up/served/tore down the event, and Silver Cord Students from WCV Schools who volunteered to help, the folks that smoked the loins, and last but not least the Jeff and Deb Hansen Foundation who donated the Pork Loins, table cloths, napkins, cups, place mats, etc!
All monies raised from this event will be used to construct a granite memorial honoring Veterans laid to rest in Stuart cemeteries (attached photo). Rumor has it that the next fundraiser for this ambitious project will be forthcoming next Memorial Day.
The Community support is truly appreciated because without it this would be impossible to achieve. Our heartfelt thanks to all who attended!
