"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants." Psalm 116:15

Pastor Judy Bean died peacefully on Saturday, December 23rd with her family surrounding her after her health declined following a severe stroke she suffered on Monday, December 18th. Pastor Judy had rallied for a few days following her stroke and was given the blessing of time to communicate with her daughter and family members.

We will greatly miss Pastor Judy on HeavenTrain as she faithfully served the children and adults for over 20+ years in Cleveland’s Central neighborhoods. Her last message on the December 9th HeavenTrain Christmas Gift Giveaway was powerful and we pray many souls accepted Jesus as their LORD and Savior.

The visitation is Friday, December 29th from 3-7 p.m. at Jakubs-Waite Funeral Home, 36000 Lakeshore Blvd., Eastlake. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30th at 10:00 a.m. at Willo-Lake Church of the Nazarene, 34950 Lakeshore Blvd., Eastlake.

From Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood

To create more equitable opportunities for residents of , Cleveland is investing $20,000 in Youth Opportunities Unlimited of Cleveland, Ohio to recruit youth and employers from Central to participate in its Summer Youth Employment Program.

A study by Case Western Reserve University shows the benefits of summer employment extend beyond wages, including mitigating risks for criminal justice involvement and promoting the likelihood of school attendance and graduation.
The goals of the are to ensure that young people stay in high school and graduate, find meaningful work experiences, and have access to the tools, resources, and opportunities needed to break generational cycles of poverty. The program specifically supports young people of color (90% of participants) and youth from low-income families (99% of participants).

Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.) is a nonprofit workforce development organization based in Cleveland, Ohio that serves teens and young adults ages 14-24 living in economically distressed areas in Northeast Ohio.

Our very own Director of Ministry Services, Ashley Kennedy was able to participate on this panel. This is a crucial time that we are in and we are very much about being a part of the acknowledegment, conversation and solution.

We would like to thank Pastor Dwight of Christ The King Vineyard Church leading the charge on this. Christ the King is one of our Partner Churches that support HeavenTrain.

Whether you watch our Sunday Service every week, or have never watched it before, this is the one you don't want to miss. Pastor Dwight leads a discussion around race and how we can be Godly allies to our brothers and sisters of color. 🙏🏿🙏🏽🙏🏻

We serve in Central Cleveland which is a predominately African-American Neighborhood. Our Volunteers have come from all over Ohio of all ages literally into our community to serve. This is a great resource as our goal is to be Spiritually and Culturally aware as we serve.

Your kids aren’t too young to talk about race. Here are a few resources to get your started.
