🚒 Two different Ford dealerships
Several people and businesses are helping us search, and we cannot thank everyone enough for taking the time to look.
Unfortunately, we are running into a major roadblock. We have been told repeatedly that this particular computer is obsolete. Because our truck has a gas engine and is classified as a commercial vehicle, finding the correct replacement is proving extremely difficult.
So, we are trying to think outside the box. 💡
Our hope now is that somewhere out there is a 2008 Ford F-550 gas truck being used for parts, sitting in a salvage yard, on someone’s property, or in a fleet that has been retired.
Even if the truck itself is no longer roadworthy, the computer may be exactly what we need to get our fire apparatus back in service. 🚒
If you know of a salvage yard, fire department, fleet, mechanic, parts dealer, or someone who may have an older Ford F-550 being parted out, please reach out or share this post.
