We are so excited to announce a new partnership with McGregor PACE! McGregor PACE's mission is to improve the quality of life for older adults in Cuyahoga, Lorain and Summit counties by allowing them to remain living in their community while receiving the extra support they need. They do this by resolving the shortage of affordable senior housing in Cleveland/Northeast Ohio and continuing to increase the number of PACE participants in Cuyahoga, Lorain and Summit County.

How can you get involved? You can volunteer! The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is partnered with McGregor PACE in Summit County and we are looking for volunteers to spend time with seniors and help combat isolation. The best part is you can do literally anything. Crafts, games, music, chatting, holidays… whatever brings you joy! Do you like to read? You can read a book with the clients. Do you like to crochet? You can teach them! Are you good at calling bingo or are you a whiz at puzzles? This is your chance!

Summit Fresh Mobile Market is a 501(c)3 with a mission is to sell fresh, healthy, and affordable groceries to communities designated as food deserts. This empowers every individual with agency to access nutritious food, and to promote equity in health outcomes leading to enhanced well-being across resource restricted communities!

Are you outdoorsy? Are you *rustic*? Are you ready to get your hands (only slightly) dirty? Crown Point Ecology Center has a new volunteer opportunity! They are looking for Grounds Volunteers! Take a look at the following and let us know if this sounds like you:

1. Helping the farm staff to tend to fields, greenhouses and tunnel crops by weeding, composting, and planting. Assisting with seeding, transplanting, and watering.
2. Supporting with animal feed and care (chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, pigs), educational programming, and event set-up and tear-down.
3. General grounds maintenance through mowing lawns, maintenance of buildings, minor landscaping, site help, trail clearing etc.

In April, we had such a great time connecting with the Goodyear Retirement Group and sharing more about the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program! It's always a pleasure to meet with retirees who are passionate about staying active, engaged, and making a difference in their communities.

We especially loved meeting a very special guest: A 12-year-old pup named Leroy who technically meets our 55+ age requirement in dog years! Do you think he should join our group? 🤔💭
