I recently attended the parks board meeting to try to go forward on the splashpad addition to Logan's OasisPlayground. It breaks my heart that they did not approve the addition because it is a flood zone & the flood water cause contamination & issues with the splashpad. However, I did get the black chainlink fencing approved that I have had so many requests for. I have had endless messages from parents of autistic children asking if we could do this, as most autistic children are elopers, & dart off quickly. It would help parents with multiple children as well. It creates safety for all. Especially from traffic. I have learned that parents of autistic & handicapped children will drive for a couple hours to a playground like ours & especially to an enclosed playground. ❤️ Melissa Calkins Crank Logan Crank
