We are the union that represents all 59 Strafford (NH) School teachers (including guidance counselors and our librarian), nurses, and paraprofessionals. We have a long, proud history dating back to 1982 when we held an election and became the legal representative of our teachers and nurses. In 2005, teachers, nurses, and paraprofessionals voted to incorporate paraprofessionals into our association
. We take great pride in our school, which has won wide recognition for excellence. This is the official page of the Strafford Education Association. In partnership with the School Board and school administration, we share the school's guiding philosophy:
Strafford School Philosophy
The recognition and acceptance of individual differences within an environment of respect and understanding is the foundation of the Strafford School Philosophy. A partnership between school, staff, parents, and the community is encouraged in an ongoing effort to meet the specific needs and provide opportunities for the social, emotional, physical, and academic development of all children. Strafford School strives to create a successful and positive school experience for each child and maintains high expectations for behavior and performance. The school seeks to develop in students strong character, a lifelong appreciation for learning, an acceptance of diversity, and a commitment to community service.
