Due to a low number of players and a time crunch we have decided to combine forces with Cole Camp youth football and make a 1st/2nd grade flag team! This will team will still participate in the Sedalia league as planned; however, practice will be held in Cole Camp. This will be the last call if you would like to sign up your first or second grader no later than Saturday 7/25.

JH Football Camp

July 31 Football Camp in Sedalia!
Please arrive at the Cole Camp school weight room by 7:45 a.m.
Players need to have equipment ready by 8 a.m.
Bus will leave at 8:15 a.m.
Camp starts at 9 a.m.
Camp ends at 11:00-11:30 a.m.
Bus will be back in Cole Camp by 12-12:30.

Stover Youth Football is saddened to see that the recent levy for the baseball and softball fields did not pass. We know how important these programs are to our community and the opportunities they provide for our kids.

At this time, as an organization, we do not feel it is appropriate to push adding a new sport when our existing programs are not receiving the support they need. We want to be mindful of community resources and respectful of the priorities in front of us.

It’s not an option to co-op at the high school level. The plan is still to co-op at the JH with Cole Camp but there hasn’t been a meeting with coaches this spring. Tackle would still be available through MCAC and Cole Camp for 3-6 as long as they’ll have us.

That said, we would like to gauge interest in continuing our PK-2 flag football program. We already have the uniforms and equipment, and it’s something that can be run more easily without placing additional strain on facilities. Bottom line, we want kids to be active and have fun! 🏈

If there is enough interest, this program will depend on parent volunteers who are willing to step up and coach.
