Compassion Furniture Bank

The goal of the furniture bank in 2019 is to serve as many families and individuals in the community as possible. This will not be possible without the donations of gently used furniture from caring individuals. Additionally, the furniture bank plans to purchase a box truck in the future to keep donated furniture dry in inclement weather.

Need Furniture?

The Compassion Furniture Bank provides furniture to individuals and families who are unable to furnish their homes due to poverty or other severe life challenges. The furniture bank provides people with donated gently used furniture free of charge. Additionally, the furniture bank will deliver the furniture to those in need at no charge to them. The amount of furniture received is be based on need and availability.

If you need furniture, please contact your social service agency case manager for a referral. You must have a referral to receive furniture. Please call 740-207-1528 if you have any additional questions.

As a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization, we depend on the support of caring people like you. We need your help to provide a bed for a child to sleep on or a table to do his or her homework. You can make the future brighter for a family in need by making a monetary donation today.

Volunteer

Volunteering at Compassion Furniture Bank is a great way to give back to your community and help someone in need. It is also a great team project for students, social clubs, and corporations. There are various volunteer opportunities available to fit your needs such as:

· Light clerical duties and phone calls

· Furniture inspection and cleaning

· Furniture loading and unloading

· Sweeping, dusting, and cleaning in the warehouse

· Sorting and organizing donations

· Furniture pick-up and delivery

· Assisting clients with furniture selection in the warehouse

· Assisting with fundraising events

· Preparing and distributing promotion materials
