This week, 12 Barrett’s Bears + 7 personalized shirts were mailed with love. The shirts will dress bears given to recipients from Rachel's Gift at their partner hospitals. A nonprofit that shares in our mission of supporting grieving families, aiming to ease Empty Arms Syndrome when parents have to leave the hospital without their love.

Each bear represents a precious child, a family holding onto hope and love, and our prayer that they feel comforted and remembered. 🩵

Thank you for helping us honor Barrett’s life by supporting and believing in what the Lord is doing in the lives of other families. He is so good to comfort. Please join us in praying for the hearts receiving these special deliveries. 🙏🏼🌈

Eight years ago today, we held and snuggled our sweet Barrett boy for the last time. September 25 will always hold both heartbreak and hope for our family. Every day is another day without him here, but also one day closer to seeing him again. 💙

When Barrett went to Heaven, we prayed through our pain: “Lord, please use his life for good.” Seven years ago, Barrett’s Bears Ministry grew from that prayer. Today, as we remember Barrett and celebrate the ministry’s anniversary, we’re sharing the story behind its mission. 🧸

We are still broken, but God has been faithful. Through Barrett’s Bears, He continues to bring comfort and the hope of Jesus to families grieving a child. To everyone who has helped us love those families: thank you. Barrett’s life continues to matter in ways we could never have imagined. 🙏🏻

28 bears + 4 very special shirts are heading out today. 🧸📦🤍

Today, 28 Barrett’s Bears will begin their journey to families who are walking through an unimaginable loss. Each bear has been prayed over, prepared with love, and will soon be in the arms of a family we hope feels just a little less alone and are surrounded by a peace that surpasses our understanding—only Jesus. 🩷🩵

Along with our bears, 4 personalized shirts are also being mailed to families who left the hospital without their child.

These shirts are part of our partnership with Rachel's Gift, a nonprofit that partners with hospitals to provide comfort and support to families experiencing infant loss. Their families receive a weighted bear, and Barrett’s Bears has the honor of providing personalized shirts made especially for those bears—bearing the names of babies who are forever loved and remembered. 🤍

32 babies. 32 families. 32 names that matter.

32 reminders that their babies were a part of them, they are loved, and they will never be forgotten.

This is why we do what we do. Every ribbon tied, every shirt made, every tag attached, every box packed—it all carries a little piece of our heart and a whole lot of prayer. 🧸🌈

A LITTLE BEAR UPDATE 🧸🤍

We have NOT forgotten about you! If you’re waiting on a Barrett’s Bear, please know that your bear is coming. 🧸🤍

Our bears are going out a little behind schedule right now, and we want to ask for your patience and grace as we work to get each one mailed as soon as we possibly can. We sincerely apologize for the slight delay.

With school starting and everyone adjusting to new schedules and routines, things have been a little busier than usual. We also have some new and exciting projects in the works for Barrett’s Bears, and we are so excited about what is ahead for this ministry! 🤍

Please know that every bear is still being prepared with the same love, care, and purpose. We haven’t forgotten you, and we haven’t forgotten your little one. 🩷🧸💙

Thank you for giving us a little extra grace and patience as we get caught up. We are so incredibly grateful for your understanding and for allowing us the honor of sending these little bears of comfort to your families.
