Sachinthani Uthpala currently serves as the 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙖 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧 for the 𝘗𝘩𝘪 𝘉𝘦𝘵𝘢 𝘋𝘦𝘭𝘵𝘢 𝘖𝘚𝘜 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘦𝘳, while also contributing as a Director of Marketing & Social Media on the 𝙋𝙝𝙞 𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙖 𝘿𝙚𝙡𝙩𝙖 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙗𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙. Since the beginning of 2025, her involvement as a social media officer has led to significant growth in engagement and visibility, reflecting her creativity, and dedication to the organization. We truly value her service to our chapter. 🧡
Beyond Phi Beta Delta, Sachinthani is an active student leader on campus, including serving as the 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 of ɴᴇᴛ ɪᴍᴘᴀᴄᴛ student organization.
She finds PBD Society meaningful because it goes beyond recognizing academic excellence, it is the first honor society dedicated to celebrate international diversity alongside scholarly achievement. Through her work with both the OSU chapter and the National Team, she has had the opportunity to collaborate with professionals and connect with outstanding scholars from around the world, making Phi Beta Delta a truly transformative and inspiring community for her.🌏

Mei is a PhD student in Food Science at OSU. She is from Malaysia. She was inducted in April 2023 as a member of Epsilon Upsilon Chapter. She is interested in sharing her experience studying abroad and food science knowledge around the world, especially food safety focusing on international students.
PBD OSU Chapter has been a great starting honorary platform where Mei was able to share her culture of Malaysia and sharing her experience of leading students studying abroad at Costa Rica. She also kept close relation with the international undergraduate admission office as being a panel to welcome future OSU international student by providing them information and letting them feel welcome and safe as home and telling them how as an international student life is in OSU. We love to have you on board 🌏

Drew came to Oklahoma State in 2021 after graduating high school in Ashburn, VA. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management and International Business. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a focus in Analytics.
She is honored to be a part of this honor society because of her passion for the international aspect of all things. After she studied in Austria in 2024, she wanted to join a group of people who shared similar interests and I have found it here in PBD. 🌏We love to have you on board

Ranjitha Chandrashekar is a Ph.D. student in Nutritional Sciences at Oklahoma State University. Her research focuses on understanding the effects of dietary interventions on metabolic health. Originally from India, she is passionate about global education, cultural exchange, and promoting diversity within academic communities.
Being part of the PBD OSU Chapter is truly special to her because it provides a platform to celebrate international collaboration, foster friendships across cultures, and support students who share a vision of global learning and service.🌏 We love to have you on board

Dr Mark, the 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 formerly served as OSU’s 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘮 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘝𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘴, and represented OSU to develop and sign Memoranda of Understanding and formal joint programming with academic institutions around the world.

Also traveled with dozens of student groups throughout Western Europe and Asia over the past 30 years, allowing them to experience what other people and cultures have to offer. Conversely, PBD is important for him because its members and activities facilitate bringing the cultures of the world to students, faculty, and staff while right here in Stillwater. 🌏

Last week the OSU Epsilon Upsilon chapter gathered in Wes Watkins to celebrate our OSU Fullbright and International Scholars. It was amazing hearing about their research and studies and we are so proud of them all!
