Update: We have a ride!

We are still looking for a ride for this pigeon! She came to us several days ago after the little kids who look after a flock of pigeons noticed this one (who they had name Misty) was nowhere to be seen. She returned several days, later unable to fly, and they enlisted their mom's support to get her some help.

If anyone is headed south, she really needs to get to WRC in Roseville sooner rather than later. If you are able to give this pigeon a ride, please either message us on Facebook or call us at 218-491-3604. Thanks!

Today is World Octopus Day! 🐙

Octopuses are the ultimate masters of disguise, and rely on the vibrant, complex textures of coral reefs to disappear in a flash. From their role as agile hunters balancing the food web to their use of coral crevices as dens, the octopus’s health is directly linked to the health of the reef. https://sanctuaries.noaa.gov/earthisblue/wk69-octopus.html

When Ariana Grande said she loves animals more than most people, she backed it up. Around 10 rescue dogs, a pot-bellied pig, her own animal rescue organization in LA, and a decade of public advocacy for animal rights. The quote is from a 2014 Mirror interview and has never stopped being true.

She has said that dogs show nothing but unconditional love and deserve the same in return. With a house full of rescues and a shelter she funds herself, it is hard to argue with her.
