Today we are proud to recognize an incredible milestone for Lieutenant Kerry Bell.

Lieutenant Bell began his career with the Stillwater Police Department on March 2, 1986, and this year marks 40 years of dedicated service to our department and the Stillwater community.

For four decades, he has demonstrated unwavering commitment, professionalism, and leadership. His experience and steady presence have made a lasting impact on our organization and on the many officers and employees who have had the privilege to work alongside him.

Reaching 40 years of service is an extraordinary accomplishment, and we are grateful for the dedication Lieutenant Bell continues to show every day.

Please join us in congratulating Lieutenant Kerry Bell on this remarkable milestone and thanking him for his continued service to the Stillwater community.

Oh deer! 🦌

Today, Animal Welfare was called about an injured deer. Once on the scene, Animal Welfare Officers and Stillwater Police Department officers learned that the deer was in good spirits, able to walk and eat, and had been living in the neighborhood for 2 weeks with an injured eye and jaw 😭 We assume she may have been bumped by a car.

After a lot of calls, we were able to find a wonderful wildlife rehab and vet that was willing to take the deer…. If we could catch it.

We went back out to the deer and called for some reinforcements… the cowboys of the police department 🤠 In no time, Detective Carson was able to scoop the deer up with his bare hands!

If you live on the east side of town, make sure to check your doorbell cameras and see if you can spot this encounter! šŸ˜‚

Thank you for everyone’s help. The deer is now on her way to get some necessary vet care and TLC ā¤ļøšŸ¦Œ

If you ever see an animal in city limits injured or sick, don’t hesitate to call us!

Please join the Stillwater FOP for a benefit dinner for Stillwater School Resource Officer Jeremy Hooten. Hooten suffered a medical issue while on duty and has since been off work and attempting to determine the cause of his medical issues. This week he and his wife traveled to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota to try to get answers. The money raise will go to help with their travel and lodgings expenses.

We hope to see a huge turnout in support of our guy! Cash, check, and cards are accepted! We can also provide drive thru service and can receive orders at the phone number below! Bring your family! Bring your friends! See you on Monday!

This morning, members of the Stillwater Police Department, Stillwater Fire Department, OSU Police Department and Campus Safety, Payne County Sheriff's Office, FBI, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, alongside a few family members, came together to complete the annual "Murph" workout.

This event is held in honor of those who served in the armed forces and made the ultimate sacrifice. The "Murph" is one of CrossFit’s most well-known Hero Workouts of the Day (WOD), named in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy of Patchogue, NY, who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2005.

The workout is a grueling test of physical and mental endurance, consisting of:

1-mile run

100 pull-ups

200 push-ups

300 squats

Followed by another 1-mile run

All completed while wearing a 20-pound weighted vest or body armor.

We commend the unwavering commitment, resilience, and spirit of service shown by all who participated in this powerful tribute. Their effort stands as a moving reminder of the sacrifices made by our nation’s heroes.
