Hello Stevenson Ranch Members and Residents –
We are reaching out with important information regarding the ongoing Fires in Southern California, currently impacting parts of LA County.
Due to the high winds, the gates at the top of Poe have been locked and Knight Guard Security is on high alert for suspicious activity. The HOA is adding an additional patrol car during the evenings this week.
If you are in an Evacuation Warning zone, please make sure to prepare a “go bag”, ensure your vehicle is fueled, and be ready to leave at a moment’s notice. Being prepared to act swiftly is critical during this time. Attached is a recommended checklist.
There is a wind event forecast for SCV today and for the next day or so.
Please take a few minutes to review the attached list and make sure that you are ready to GO!
Also, this means that SCE may cut power to some communities.
Take out your coolers, get ice or ice packs as well as a fuel source to cook food.
Camping stoves are a great thing to keep in case of an emergency. Also, use this time to get fuel for generators and to charge batteries and electric power banks.
Don't forget articles of clothing, blankets, pillows and toiletries.
Totes, duffle bags, luggage, backpacks, and even cardboard boxes are all great containers to store these items for quick pick up and transport to your vehicle. Keep them somewhere safe and let family members know where in your home they're being stored.
Please do not wait until something happens to get ready.
Remember, high winds 🌬 = the possibility of 🔥fire!
It is our understanding that some communities may be impacted by power, internet, or cable outages. Please know that utility providers are working as quickly as possible to restore services. Your patience is appreciated during this time as they prioritize safety and infrastructure repair.
Please remember that the Association is not an emergency service provider. For immediate updates, use the official resources listed below. Always follow the guidance of local law enforcement and emergency personnel.
