Hello and welcome to your local, Sterling, Colorado Garden Gnome Rehabilitation and Sanctuary. To put it simply we rescue, rehabilitate, and provide a sanctuary for Garden Gnomes, Faerie Folk, and their all of their friends that have been displaced, disliked, damaged, or have taken over the gardeners yard where they are no longer welcome. It is okay if your Gnome is mischievous, rude, playful, mea
n, or indifferent. We don't judge and have handled from the best to the worst types of Gnomes, Faeries, and friends out there. That gnome that got run over by the lawnmower last week and your are considering throwing it away, please don't do that. Surrender your Garden Gnome (in however many pieces) to us, and we will get it back into its best state possible and give it a forever home in our on-site sanctuary. Once you have surrendered your Gnome to us, we begin the process of repair. Using the highest quality of materials our local Wal-Mart and Home Depot provides, we cast clay and glue to fill in those missing pieces to make the Gnome feel like one again. Then we clean it up a bit before adding a fresh coat of paint, paying attention to all of the special details. Once the Gnome is all together again, it is placed in a sanctuary where it can make friends and live a happy rest of its life, undisturbed doing whatever it is that Gnomes do. Paint is touched up regularly due to the affects of the sun, keeping in the best shape possible for generations to come. Do you only take in Garden Gnomes? We take in Garden Gnomes, Faeries Folk and ALL of their outdoor friends. That little resin Rabbit that got knocked over by the kids and broke its ear. That little collection of plastic squirrels that was supposed to be just a few, but then people saw them and started buying you more squirrels for every danged holiday, but it's a gift, so you just smile and accept it and now you look like the crazy person with hundreds of ceramic, metal, concrete, plastic, and resin squirrels everywhere. We can help with that too! If it is a lawn ornament that has a lifelike purpose, we would be happy to add it to our Sanctuary. We have even expanded to accepting windchimes, birdbaths/houses, toadstools, and other oddities as it seems to make the residents of the sanctuary happy by attracting wildlife, and increasing the general purpose of our Garden Gnome Rehabilitation & Sanctuary. We do not take in all back yard items and are not a dump hauling setup. Do I get my Gnome back after the repairs are made? We apologize in advance, but we are not a clinic to the public for repair and returns. Any creature that comes to us comes with the intentions of a forever home. Our volunteers dedicate all of their time working with the Gnomes that are intended to stay in house. We all know how pesky and unruly just one Garden Gnome can be, so Imagine all of them that we take in! Then there are the Faeries. One Faerie can cause as much trouble as 20 Gnomes, so we have our hands full and the repair clinic is reserved for in house use only. How do I get my Gnome to you your Rehabilitation & Sanctuary? All you have to do is send us a private message. If you can provide photos of the Gnomes, Faeries, and/or Friends in question, we can schedule getting it to us. It also helps us determine if the Gnome can be saved. You know what they say, "You cant make a Garden Gnome out of dust." If you live in Sterling city limits, we can retrieve the Gnome directly from your yard, as long as it is already somewhat contained. Most people just place the subjects in a cardboard box in a location accessible to us, such as the front steps. WE WILL NOT approach an uncontained Garden Gnome, Faerie Folk, or Friend!!! If they are loose in the gardeners yard they are regarded as highly dangerous to strangers who try to move them around or relocate them. If you would prefer to bring your Garden Gnome to us or are outside city limits, we can arrange for a pickup at Monahan's Park. We do not disclose the exact location of our Rehabilitation & Sanctuary due to possible activism from the terrorist group, Garden Gnome Liberation Front. They believe that domesticated Garden Gnomes should be displaced out into the wild to fend for themselves costing the lives and theft of hundreds of Garden Gnomes every year. We care about the safely of your Garden Gnomes. How can I check on the my Garden Gnome in the future, if the location is undisclosed? This page will be used to update you on your Garden Gnome and its success in the future, for as long a Facebook is a thing. You can come to this page as often as you like, to see if you can find your Friend among the others, check in to see if it has moved, and send letters to your Garden Gnome that will be read off to them by one of our faithful volunteers! We would love to fill this page full of our success stories, and share wonderful photos of the Garden Gnomes we take in, but it all starts with you!
