We’re thrilled to welcome **Joanna Whaley** to the Macomb County Pride stage, fresh off her victory in the Democratic primary for Michigan’s 2nd House District! 🎉

Joanna Whaley is a parent, clinical spiritual care provider, lifelong Southeast Michigander, and LGBTQ+ advocate whose work has centered on showing up for people during some of the hardest moments of their lives. Now, she’s made history as the **first transgender woman nominated for the Michigan Legislature.** 🏳️‍⚧️✨

Her story is one of resilience, service, faith, and refusing to let anyone else define what’s possible.
