We are starting to organize carpooling for this Saturday’s Macomb County Pride Readers discussion of Devout by David Archuleta at Yellow Light Coffee inside Michigan Central Station in Detroit. Parking is very limited there.

If you’re planning on going, please comment below so we can get a headcount and figure out rides. We’ll all meet at 10:00 AM in the back parking lot behind the Emerald Theatre in Downtown Mount Clemens before heading out together.

Please let us know if you’re coming, driving, or would like to ride with someone. We just want to make sure everyone gets there comfortably and nobody gets left behind. Carpooling is highly encouraged.

Also, I’d personally love to grab pizza at Grandma Bob’s afterward if anyone is interested in making an afternoon out of it.

A Queen Is Born is a beginner-friendly drag contest created for amateur and first-time performers to explore drag in a fun, supportive and non-judgmental environment. All drag styles are welcome!

Book club meeting coming soon!

May 30 is coming up quick, and we’re really excited for this one.

Macomb County Pride Readers will be meeting at Yellow Light Coffee inside Michigan Central Station to discuss Devout by David Archuleta.

This book has already sparked a lot of conversation in the group, and it feels like one people are connecting with on a really personal level. Whether you’ve finished the book, are halfway through, or still catching up, come anyway. There’s zero pressure and everyone is welcome.

Carpool departs Downtown Mount Clemens at 10:00 AM
Meet at Yellow Light at 11:00 AM
Discussion shortly after coffee
We’ll wrap up around 1:00 PM

And honestly… depending on how long everyone hangs around, maybe we’ll grab lunch after too.
