**DID YOU KNOW? MACOMB COUNTY PRIDE READERS IS NOW ON DISCORD!**
I've learned something about book clubs. You can get six people together to discuss one book, and somehow everybody goes home with twelve more they want to read.
I'm not entirely sure how the math works, but bookstores must love us.
At Macomb County Pride Readers, we get together over coffee, talk about what we've been reading, and occasionally spend half the afternoon discussing something that has absolutely nothing to do with the book.
Nobody seems to mind. In fact, that's usually when things get interesting.
The trouble is, eventually somebody has to leave. There's dinner to make, laundry to fold, and apparently some of us have jobs we're expected to show up for.
Which is inconvenient when you're right in the middle of a good conversation.
Fortunately, we've figured out a way around that.
Macomb County Pride Readers now has its own channel on the Macomb County Pride Discord!
We're still getting together in person. Nobody's replacing our coffee dates with a computer screen. We've just found a way to keep talking after everybody goes home.
Maybe you finished something wonderful and need to tell somebody. Maybe you hated the ending and would like to file a formal complaint against the author. Or maybe you're looking for your next good read.
We've got room for all of that.

And you don't have to wait until our next gathering to join the conversation.
That's the nice thing about a book club. You show up because of a book, but after a while, you realize the people are what keep bringing you back.
Of course, I've also learned that belonging to a book club is a terrible way to save money.
Every time I finish one book, somebody convinces me to buy three more.
