First Methodist Church Sterling City Pre-School First Methodist Church Sterling City Preschool serves children ages 2 years through Pre-Kindergarten.

We are committed to providing the very best for each child in a Christian-based environment. We are aware of the supportive role we play in the development and nurturing of your child's positive self-esteem, and to facilitate our role, we plan activities that allow each child to experience successes. These activities include singing, art, free-time/play-time, reading/story-time, chapel, nap-time, and center-time. Our teacher(s) also work with the children on a wide range of readiness skills such as colors, shapes, numbers, alphabet sounds, and recognition.

Today we had some awesome visitors who brought an even COOLER EXCAVATOR!! 😎🚧 And guess what?! We even got to RIDE IT!! 🤩🙌

We had the BEST time getting up close to this amazing piece of equipment! What a fun and exciting way to learn something new! 🚜

🦎😂 WE HAD A NOT-SO-LITTLE VISITOR TODAY!! 😂🦎

This little guy decided he needed to tap on the office window since he didn’t know the code to get in! 🤣 I think he regretted his choices pretty quickly! 😂

Everyone got a chance to take a closer look, and we all watched as we safely set him free! 🦎❤️ On our way back inside, we even got to spot another one of God’s amazing creations!

Who knew we’d get a fun, WILD science lesson today?! 🦎🦋🐛🌎🔬 We all thought it was SUPER COOL! 😍

💜💛 CHAPEL TUESDAY!!! 🙏✨

Today at chapel, we learned different ways we can be more like God and show His love to others! ❤️ Here are three simple but powerful ways we can make a difference every day:

🤗 1. WELCOMING
We can make others feel welcomed and included! Whether someone is coming to church, joining us for their first day of preschool, or simply wanting to play on the playground, we can make them feel like they belong. Everyone deserves to feel welcome! 🫶

🌟 2. ENCOURAGING
We can lift others up when they feel sad, nervous, or afraid to try something new. Sometimes, all it takes is a few kind words, a little encouragement, or even a simple high-five! 🙌 Let’s remind others that they are capable and never alone!

❤️ 3. LOVING
We can show others love through our words and actions. Why? Because God loves each and every one of us just the way we are! 💕 We can share that same love by being kind, caring, and accepting of others.

✨ What a beautiful reminder that we can show God’s love in the little things we do every day! Let’s welcome others, encourage one another, and love like Jesus! 🙏💜💛

🚓👮‍♂️🚒🧑‍🚒🚑 TODAY WE HAD SOME VERY SPECIAL VISITORS!! 🚑🧑‍🚒🚒👮‍♂️🚓

A HUGE thank you to our Sterling County First Responders for giving us such an AMAZING experience! ❤️🇺🇸

We got to see and try so many cool things! Some were a little scary, but we had plenty of brave volunteers 😂, and our kiddos LOVED every second of it! Who knew a stretcher could be such an amazing ride?! 😂🎢

We got to use the water hose from the fire engine 🚒💦, watch a super cool drone fly HIGH into the sky 🚁, explore the emergency vehicles, and learn so much from the amazing men who help keep our community safe!

We honestly can’t decide what our favorite part was because IT WAS ALL SO MUCH FUN! 😍

And not to brag… but we have some pretty COOL & FUN first responders right here in Sterling County! 😉💜💛

So, the next time you see one of our first responders, be sure to THANK THEM for all they do 🚓🚒🚑 especially for taking the time to come spend time with US!! 💜💛

We are SO excited to see all of the creative, fun, and spook-tacular trunks this year! 🚗🍬🕷️🍭 We already know our preschool families are going to bring their A-game! 🎃✨
