First Methodist Church Sterling City Pre-School First Methodist Church Sterling City Preschool serves children ages 2 years through Pre-Kindergarten.

We are committed to providing the very best for each child in a Christian-based environment. We are aware of the supportive role we play in the development and nurturing of your child's positive self-esteem, and to facilitate our role, we plan activities that allow each child to experience successes. These activities include singing, art, free-time/play-time, reading/story-time, chapel, nap-time,

and center-time. Our teacher(s) also work with the children on a wide range of readiness skills such as colors, shapes, numbers, alphabet sounds, and recognition.

☀️🎉 Part 2 of Our FUN Week 🎉☀️

At FMC Pre-School, we celebrate EVERYONE… soooo we celebrated all our summer birthdays with yummy cupcakes and ice cream sundaes! 🧁🍦🥳

We also had a super fun activity where everyone got to pick a different name they wanted to be called for the day! 🤩 From silly names to superhero names, we had lots of laughs and big smiles!

What a GREAT week we had! From obstacle courses, chalk drawings, science experiments, and playing with our shadows, to reminding our little travelers that Jesus loves them ❤️ we wrapped up the week with an exciting Water Day full of laughs, smiles, and sweet summer memories! 🌈🩵

✨🎓 Graduate Spotlight: Fisher 🎓✨

We have had the privilege of having Fisher in our preschool for 3 wonderful years! 🦖❤️

Fisher loves dinosaurs and can tell you all about them! He never meets a stranger and will walk right up to anyone ready to have the best conversation. One thing we will miss most is Fisher greeting us every morning and checking on us throughout the day by asking, “How are you doing?” ❤️

Fisher is truly the friend everyone needs 💜always ready with hugs, kindness, and a smile. His caring heart and big personality have brought so much joy to our preschool.

We just know he is going to do amazing things in life and absolutely LOVE the big school… especially those pep rallies! 🦅💜💛 GO EAGLES!!!

Go conquer the world, Fisher! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see all the incredible things you will do! ✨🎓

We have had the honor of loving on sweet “Lucky,” as we call her, for the past 2 years. She is our little fashionista and is always ready to show off her personality through her adorable OOTDs! 💖

Luck has the sweetest heart and is so much fun to be around. To know her is truly to love her — sass, style, and all! ✨

We may call her Lucky, but the truth is… we are the lucky ones. Watching her grow, love, laugh, and brighten our days has been such a blessing.

We are sure going to miss her, but we know she’ll always stop by with her biggest hugs and her one-of-a-kind style. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things she will do! 🌟💕

✨🎓 Today’s Graduate Spotlight is for Lyla 🎓✨

We have had the privilege of loving, teaching, and watching Lyla grow for the past 2 years. 💗

Lyla may be a little shy at first, but it has been such a joy watching her come out of her shell and let her funny, sweet personality shine! She keeps us laughing with her “tell it like it is” comments and the little things she says throughout the day. 😂

She has proudly earned the title of our “rancher boy wrangler” 🤠 — always making sure the boys stay on task and, most importantly, stay safe! Her caring heart and quiet leadership have made such a big impact on our classroom.

We are truly going to miss her so much, but we are beyond excited to see all the amazing things God has planned for her future. ✨

Ruby walks in every morning making sure we all admire her OOTD 💁‍♀️👗✨ She always brings smiles with her fun personality and confidence!

Ruby loves telling stories 😀 and she is SO good at it! 📖She keeps us entertained with her imagination and sweet conversations. She also loves spending time in the pretend play center. She enjoys playing and learning alongside her friends 🧸🎨💕

✨🎓 Today’s Graduate Spotlight is for Jentry 🎓✨

Jentry has been with us for 4 wonderful years! She was such a tiny little one when she first started, and we have loved watching her bloom into a beautiful kindergartner ❤️

Jentry is our dancing queen 💃🎶 Anywhere, anytime 🎶❤️ if you see Jentry, she is dancing her little heart away to her very own tune! Her joyful spirit and love for dancing always brings smiles to everyone around her.

She is also the “momma hen” of the preschool 🐣💕 Always keeping an eye on the littles and making sure they stay close by (even when they don’t want to 😆). If someone gets hurt or needs help, Jentry is the first one there to comfort them and make sure they are okay. She truly is a friend to all and has such a caring heart.

We are going to miss her so much — and so will the littles! But we know she is going to do amazing things. We wish her all the best and hope that jukebox never stops playing and she keeps dancing through life with that beautiful smile of hers 💖✨
