Meet Jeepers! He’s a 5 month old Lab/Cattle dog mix! He's full of energy and loves to play rough but when he settles down he's the sweetest and definitely a little bit of a velcro dog! He's great with other dogs and even cats. He's very food motivated and already knows how to sit and is starting to recognize his name and come when called! He's mostly potty trained and having very few accidents but he's catching on very quickly!

With all of that said let's just talk about his eyes! They pierce right through your soul and say a thousand words hence the name. If you’re ready for a new companion at home and are looking for a young healthy dog, Jeepers is for you!

GOOD DOG ALERT!

Hey! My name is Jake. I'm a little over a year old, mixed breed boy. I probably have some hound in me but who knows what else. I'm about 40 lbs. I'm a happy go lucky kind of guy. I'm still mostly puppy, so I have a lot of energy and am still learning about how to be a good dog. I really want to be the best boy I can be. I love everyone! And I mean everyone! What I want most in life is all the love and attention I can get and to be with my person/people. I love to play, stuffed toys, bones & hooves to chew on, getting petted and riding in cars.

I'm doing well on house training, but sometimes get over excited and forget. When I get my energy out, I'm happy to lay next to you on the couch with a toy while you read or watch TV, as long as you're petting me with one hand. I want to play with all the other dogs, so a playful doggy companion would be good for me. I love children, but can get over excited with little ones and could knock them over. I do have a bad habit of jumping up on people to get attention. It's just my affectionate nature and I'm trying to learn not to do that. When I am really happy and excited I dance with all 4 paws and body wiggles! You should see it!

I would like to try some outdoor adventures to help me burn energy. I enjoy a fenced yard but would like to check out other places. I do know my name and will usually come when called. I'm usually not happy to go into my crate because it means being separated from my person, but I'll usually settle down and go to sleep.

If you're ready for an enthusiastic pup with the patience to help me keep learning how to be my best self, I might just be the dog for you.

Meet our Double Stuffed Hound Puppies!

Cypess, Patches and Coral came to us from a rural shelter with more dog than adopters. They needed some TCL but are now ready to find their forever homes. At 4 months old and 30 pounds, we can only guess on their breed mix but suspect they are going to be hefty when grown!

All three puppies have fun, playful and laid back dispositions. They have began house training with a doggie door and walking on leash. They love playing with other dogs and meeting new people. They are sure to bring joy and love to the familes who choose them!

Meet Radley! 🐾
Radley is a sweet, playful, and cuddly 12-week-old puppy who is ready to find his forever family! He loves having fun, especially when he gets to play with other dogs, and he’s always happy to make new friends.

When playtime is over, Radley is more than happy to snuggle up and soak up some love. He’s currently working hard on his basic puppy manners and housebreaking, so his new family should be ready to continue guiding him as he learns and grows.

With his playful personality, love of other dogs, and cuddly nature, Radley is sure to bring plenty of fun, laughter, and puppy kisses to his forever home.

YOUR DONATIONS AT WORK! ❤️‍🩹

Thanks to your generousity, Roughie was recently treated for heart worm disease! Rougie came to us from an overcrowded shelter in central Va and tested positive for the disease when we tested her. Heartworm disease is devastaing to the heart and lungs so monthy preventative and yearly testing should be part of your dog's health care plan.

Thank you Woodworth Animal Hospital 🩺 for your rescue-friendly treatment and to Best Friends Animal Society for your financial sponsorship toward Rougie's care. Fortunately, we caught this quickly! Rougie should make a full recovery and is available for adoption now!

🐾 Meet Ethan, a handsome 5 month-old Lab/CattleDog🐾

He is healthy, happy and loves doing what puppies do best—playing with toys, chasing toys, and having fun! 🐶❤️

But when playtime is over and training time begins, he has one thing on his mind : LOVE! He absolutely adores being petted, cuddled, and showered with attention. 🥰

Ethan is starting to understand that potty time is outside and learning to walk nicely on a leash. He is a smart, sweet puppy who is ready to find his forever family and continue learning all the important things a good dog needs to know.
Could Ethan be your new best friend? ❤️🐾
