Long boring post. After summer camps wind down we begin to reflect on what the entirety of the year will look like. And start wrestling with the reality of what it cost to continue to serve in the ways that we do.
Below is a 10,000 foot overview of our major physical facilities, and the impacts they have had or will have in 2026. Our fixed overhead is roughly $6500/ month with over half of that being insurance. Also worth noting is that we are completely debt-free across all of our facilities and completely volunteer driven with the exception of the director’s position.

HOPE CHEST: Our Hope Chest, located in downtown Statesboro, is a 6000 square-foot facility that meets emergency and acute needs for children and adults in our community. Clothing, bedding, toiletries, school supplies, housewares and everything in between. The things we all use in daily life and take for granted. How badly they would be missed if we were starting over from scratch. Those are the types of things that the Hope Chest provided to over 1100 children and over 1000 adults in 2026.
AMPLIFY HOPE (aka The Red Barn). Our red barn is a 4800 ft.² pole barn located on the Seventh Mile campus. This component of our effort intakes 15 to 20 pallets of donated merchandise weekly. These items are distributed to churches, nonprofits and other organizations serving our region and state. In 2026 we will work with over 400 organizations and help serve over 100 different schools.
G&M MCINTOSH SALTWATER YOUTH CAMP. Our G&M campus is located along the white chimney river near Shelman’s Bluff. Construction is underway on initial cabins and a mixed use dining hall. The 6000 ft.² dining hall is currently dried in with roughly half the drywall hung.
7TH MILE. Our 7th Mile campus is home to our summer camps for children in foster care. The 120 bed facility spans 30 acres and will host 15 major events this year (in addition to our summer camps) along with 25 minor events. Major events are multi day, overnight faith based activities serving to grow the kingdom of God. Minor events are one day events. Some will see hundreds of people on campus but without the overnight component.
