The Bestwick Foundation is registered as a charitable organization with the Department of State’s (PA) Bureau of Charitable Organization (No. 42105) and is authorized to solicit charitable contributions under The Solicitation of Funds for Charitable Purposes Act. The Foundation submitted an Application for Recognition of Exemption (Form 1023) on July 12, 2012, and is now recognized as an organizat

ion exempt from taxation under Section 501 (c) of the Internal Revenue Code from the date of its incorporation as a Nonprofit Corporation (July 14, 2011). The Bestwick Foundation has held a number of charitable events since its incorporation and has subsequently provided financial support to families and individuals in the Centre Region. The Foundation has also delivered monetary and in-kind assistance to organizations in the area. In 2012 and 2013, the Foundation has afforded over $70,000 to the following beneficiaries:

Athlete Recovery Fund Strawberry Fields
Tides Program Centre Volunteers in Medicine
St. Joseph’s Academy Youth Service Bureau
Numerous Individuals and Families
