If you’ve been to Pork for a Purpose over the years, chances are you ate something Carl had a hand in making.

Carl wasn’t just a volunteer, he was our main meat man, spending countless hours every year roasting the meat that fed hundreds of people at our benefit. But more importantly, Carl was a very close family friend and a special part of the Pork for a Purpose family. His friendship, hard work, and willingness to show up year after year meant more to us than we could ever put into words.

We definitely missed him this year.

We miss his help, his humor, and simply having him there. ❤️

This Saturday, the Stanwood Buffalo Eagles are holding the Carl Miles Annual Memorial Breakfast in his honor, with proceeds going toward maintaining and improving the club he gave so much of his time to.

📅 Saturday, September 12
⏰ 8:00–11:00 AM
📍 Stanwood Buffalo Eagles

We’d love to see our Pork for a Purpose family come out, enjoy breakfast, and help support a place that meant so much to Carl. 💛

If you’re looking for a way to participate in the Vining Volunteers fundraiser this Saturday but don’t know where to start, consider ordering one of their t-shirts. There are a couple designs to choose from and over half the proceeds go back to the fundraiser. Please, like, share or comment your help spread the word! Saturday will be here before we know it!
