Jewish War Veterans - Fred Robbins Post 142 We are the local Post of the Jewish War Veterans. As the local, Stamford Post, we have dedicated ourselves to the betterment of the community in which we live.

As citizens of the United States of America, of the Jewish faith, we have served in the Wars of the United States of America, in order that we may be of greater service to our country and to one another. To this end, in 1945, in conjunction with the City of Stamford, the Post established the “Annual Stamford Citizen of the Year” awar

d, honoring local citizens who have devoted their time and effort to the betterment of the Stamford community. In 2005 the program was expanded to include honoring veterans who have not only served their country but have also contributed to the betterment of the Stamford community. Also in 2005 we added a scholarship award to recognize outstanding graduating Stamford Seniors.
