Our Mission is to serve disadvantaged families in Haiti and low-income inner-city youth in Fairfield County through various fundraising events, as well as partnering with other organizations on a similar mission.

Two weeks ago, our R.O.C. program was transformed into a space of pure creativity and healing. led a wonderful paint and (apple juice) sip workshop, showing our students how art can be a powerful tool for emotional management and self-growth.

To make the experience even more grounding, we paired the painting with a soothing sound healing session led by and .33.

Exactly one week ago today, our heart was completely full. ❤️✨

Looking back at last Wednesday, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our 2nd Annual Pasta & Punchlines comedy fundraiser! There is nothing like gathering a community to share good food, incredible laughs, and a shared vision for our youth.

Because of your incredible generosity, we are raising the vital funds needed to keep expanding our workforce initiatives like the H&P Professional Bridge Program and continue our impactful work.

An event like this takes a village. Huge gratitude to our team and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes -and a special thank you to our venue partner, for hosting us and supporting our mission. Also a major THANK YOU to our phenomenal performers , and for believing in our mission and keeping us laughing all night.

To everyone who attended, donated, or cheered us on: thank you for doing it with heart and doing it with purpose. Excited to keep building together!

Heart & Purpose, in partnership with the Ferguson Library - South End Branch, launched our 4th annual R.O.C. Program three weeks ago! This program focuses on providing vital life-skill education to youth, covering self-development, financial literacy, effective communication, and more.

Over the past three weeks, our incredible students have already dived into:

- Building a Strong Foundation of Self & Goal Setting

- Budgeting & Practical Financial Literacy

- Turning Your Passion into Profit

A huge thank you to our amazing workshop facilitators for leading these impactful conversations and sharing your invaluable knowledge with our youth!

We’re back for another 6-week journey designed to give our youth the "ROC" solid foundation they need to thrive. This year, our 6-week journey goes deeper with workshops focused on helping youth discover their unique potential, Emotional Intelligence, Youth Narrative and other engaging workshops and activities!

Give your student the tools to lead with confidence. Spaces for our 4th cohort are filling up!

Last month, Heart & Purpose led the P.E.A.R.L. program, specifically designed to support and uplift high school girls in our community.

Through workshops on identity & self-esteem, effective communication, and navigating "Being a Woman in Today’s World," these students leaned into their potential. Between vision board activities and spirited debates on modern issues, the energy in the room was inspiring!

We are incredibly grateful for the Stamford Community Micro-Grant. This funding is a direct investment in the resilience and leadership of our local youth.

🎓 Big News from Heart & Purpose!

Our 2026-2027 Scholarship Applications are officially OPEN! This year, we’re awarding three $1,250 scholarships to help high school seniors take the next step in their education:

(2) Fairfield County Scholarships – For any graduating senior in the county.
(1) The Sheena Jeune Memorial Scholarship – For a graduating senior of Haitian or Haitian-American descent.

BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🤝
We are also looking for community-minded volunteers to join our Scholarship Review Committee this June. If you’re passionate about youth empowerment and have a few hours to spare, join us!

A few weeks ago our VP .nupsieflore and Int'l Project Associate Johane Samedy attended the Haitians at Harvard Conference in MA!
They both expressed how refreshing this conference was, connecting with inspiring leaders, community advocates, entrepreneurs, scholars, and change-makers across the Haitian diaspora.

We can't wait for next year!
