My name is Angela Somers, and I am honored to Produce and Direct this powerful production. From the same producers that brought you Sistas The Musical, RAISIN is a moving musical adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry’s groundbreaking story about the Younger family and their dreams for a better future.

Set on Chicago’s South Side in the 1950s, the story follows a Black family navigating financial hardship, identity, and hope after receiving a life-changing insurance check. Through inspiring music, heartfelt storytelling, and unforgettable characters, RAISIN celebrates resilience, family, and the pursuit of dreams.
