👀 WHO we are - KENCO TATS is a Stafford-based nonprofit preparing the next generation of supply chain professionals by offering education, mentorship, and scholarships focused on women, minorities, and veterans. As demand for skilled supply chain workers grows 28% through 2031, the mission of this nonprofit aims to bridge workforce gaps and expand career access.

🌞 Good afternoon and happy Monday! Since the Annual Networking and Scholarship Event, the Board has been reflecting on success and looking ahead!

Again, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for the KENCO TATS 5th Annual Networking and Scholarship Event this past May. We thoroughly enjoyed connecting over lunch, celebrating our amazing 2026 scholarship winner, Phillip, as well as catching up with Andrea and Jethin, our inspiring 2025 recipients.

As our completely volunteer-led Board takes a well-deserved summer break to recharge, our mission doesn't stop. We are hard at work behind the scenes updating our platform and drafting the essay requirements for our upcoming 2026 Fall/Winter Scholarship Opportunities.

Good morning and Happy Wednesday!

🏆 The Board of KENCO TATS is absolutely thrilled to officially announce the recipient of the 2026 KENCO Technical Assistance and Training Solutions Academic Scholarship: ✨Phillip Polichtchovk!✨

Phillip, a Junior at Temple University, was selected for his outstanding academic excellence and his incredible potential to make lasting contributions to the field of Supply Chain Management.

In his application essay, Phillip shared a powerful reflection on what this support means for his journey: "Receiving this scholarship would have a positive impact on my educational journey, relieving me from some of my financial pressures and providing me with more time and energy to invest in my future career. [...] It’s hard to stay fully focused on professional goals when I’m constantly balancing school with the financial pressure of running my own businesses just to cover my costs. This award would allow me to shift that "entrepreneurial energy" away from survival and toward things that will prepare me for the future, like pursuing the APICS CPIM certification."

This is exactly why nonprofit KENCO TATS exists—to bridge the gap, alleviate the pressure, and empower the next generation of supply chain leaders to shift their energy from survival to true professional thriving. We have no doubt that Phillip will achieve incredible milestones, including his CPIM certification, and we are honored to be a part of his journey.

The KENCO TATS 5th Annual Networking and Scholarship Event was sweetened by quite a few new faces: 1/3 of our attendees were brand NEW connections! 🤩 There’s nothing sweeter than seeing our community grow and welcoming new energy into the mix. We are so grateful for all the fresh connections and the support for our scholarship program.

The energy from these fresh faces, combined with legacy supporters, truly added a powerful layer of excitement (and sweetness!) to our mission of supporting the next generation of scholars. Here's to making connections that matter. 🥂
