So exciting!! Our chapter was well represented at the 121st Maryland State Conference last weekend at the Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City.

Our Regent received awards and praise from the State Regent, Liz Deering! Well done, Stacey Park!

We're super proud of our chapter's Ourstanding Junior, Katrynna Trost, for paging again this year.

It was an honor for Stacey Panei to be a speaker at one of the afternoon presentations.

Thanks to Karli Trost for volunteering at the Registration Table.

Lisa Conley and Pam Ellis were able to join us for afternoon sessions and luncheons.

The entire conference was filled with patriotism, enthusiasm, and lots of inspiration!

We are heartbroken over the loss of a dear member of our chapter, Shelby Smith Palmer Guazzo. She has been an active member of our DAR chapter for 36 years.

The Commissioners of St. Mary’s County have ordered the Maryland State and St. Mary’s County flags to be flown at half-staff in St. Mary’s County, in remembrance of Shelby P. Guazzo, who passed away on November 24, 2025. She served as a Commissioner of St. Mary’s County from 1998–2002. The State of Maryland and St. Mary’s County flags will remain lowered in St. Mary’s County until sunset on the day of her interment, December 5, 2025, in honor of her service to the people of St. Mary’s County.
