The highlight of my week was wrapping up a second year of Fill the Flex partnering with CASA of Southeast Mississippi, Inc. for Christmas. This effort focuses on providing gifts specifically for teens in foster care who have been appointed court advocates who may otherwise go overlooked.

Samantha Bignell and I paused for a quick photo during drop-off at CASA Christmas Headquarters as we delivered Fill the Flex donations, along with toy donations collected at our Keesler Federal Credit Union branches. The needs across our community were especially great this season, but the generosity shown by individuals and businesses throughout the area was truly overwhelming.

Thank you to everyone who contributed time, resources, and heart to help make Christmas feel magical for these CASA kids. This is what community looks like.

A very special elf just dropped off a delivery of wonderful gifts for our CASA of Southeast Mississippi, Inc. teenagers! I can hardly wait to get these unpacked, sorted and ready for delivery.

There's still plenty of time to get your Fill the Flex shopping done before our dropoff event on Sunday from 1-4 at the St. Martin Softball fields. You can also contribute financially or message me to arrange a pickup or drop off donations to any Keesler Federal Credit Union CASA donation box.

Thank you to the couple of fabulous monetary sponsors who have stepped up to kick off this year's Fill the Flex for CASA! We are still in great need of gift donations for the 23 foster children in southeast MS who are receiving CASA services. All week this week I am able to meet anywhere on the MS Gulf Coast for donation pickups. If you aren't able to help, please help spread the word.

Hey guys! We got an update last night from our CASA contact. Looks like we are helping with Christmas for 23 total teens in foster care in southeast Mississippi this year; 10 boys, 13 girls! Keep that in mind as you start your holiday shopping.

We also have a deadline set now of December 9th, so please make sure you get in touch with me sooner than later for dropoff or pickup of any donated items you may have!

Hello again, Fill the Flex family! We are gearing up for a second year partnering with CASA of Southeast Mississippi, Inc. to bring Christmas magic to the incredible teenagers in foster care in southeast Mississippi!

Every year there are tons of initiatives geared toward providing Christmas for younger children in need, but often the older kids and teenagers are left out of holiday giving in some of the most crucial years of their lives. Having teenagers in my home myself, these kids have taken up a special space in my heart, so we are going to keep providing for them just as long as we can.

Below you can find a list of suggested items that would best help us fill out the needs of the teenagers in foster care in southeast Mississippi, but if you have other ideas that you know a teen would love, absolutely send those along as well!

Donations may be dropped off at my home or you may text for pickup/meetup. Keep an eye out for updated dropoff locations or meetup locations/times as the season progresses.

If you don't want to do your own shopping, but would like to contribute, we are also accepting monetary donations at $stefylu or throughout this campaign. All funds will be used to fill gaps in needed items identified by CASA.

Let's get out and Fill the Flex to the point that I get to use my embarassingly awful trailer hauling skills!

We received a box today all the way from Georgia with baby, hygiene, and school supplies to !!
