A few weeks after the Mobile Healthcare Association's Annual Conference in Kansas City, one theme continues to stand out: the conversation around mobile healthcare is evolving.

There is tremendous momentum around expanding access to care. At the same time, the conversation is increasingly focused on what it takes to build programs that are sustainable, connected to the broader healthcare system, and positioned for long-term success.

Throughout the conference, attendees shared experiences, challenges, practical solutions, and lessons learned from their work in the field.

Those conversations are a reminder of the value of bringing the mobile healthcare community together—not just to explore what's possible, but to learn from what's happening in practice.
As the field looks toward 2027, those insights and connections will continue to matter.

🚐 📺 The conversation about mobile healthcare is reaching beyond the conference walls.

We’re excited to see FOX4 Kansas City highlighting the Mobile Healthcare Association and the national conversation that brought healthcare leaders together in Kansas City to discuss mobile clinics and the future of care.

For three days at , our community explored some of the biggest questions facing the field: How do we expand access? Build sustainable programs? Strengthen partnerships? Demonstrate impact? And make mobile healthcare an increasingly integrated part of how care is delivered?

Now, we take those conversations home.

Because the goal isn’t simply to gather once a year. It’s to build the evidence, partnerships, visibility, and collective voice that help move mobile healthcare forward all year long.

💜🚐 Tonight, as we closed in Kansas City, we had the honor of celebrating someone whose impact on mobile healthcare is difficult to measure.

The Mobile Healthcare Association is proud to announce the establishment of the Nancy Oriol Leadership in Mobile Healthcare Award, honoring the extraordinary and enduring contribution of Nancy E. Oriol, MD, to this field.

Nancy’s influence lives not only in the programs and initiatives she helped build, but in the people she inspired, the questions she challenged us to ask, and her unwavering belief that healthcare should begin by listening to the communities we hope to serve.

This award will carry that legacy forward by recognizing leaders who go where people are, earn trust, listen for what is not said, and build with — not merely for — communities.

It will honor those who demonstrate meaningful impact, develop others, strengthen the field, and leave healthcare more humane and more possible than they found it.

Because perhaps the most meaningful measure of a life’s work isn’t only what one person builds.

At , Peter West, CTO of West Networks LLC works, is getting practical about something every modern mobile healthcare program depends on during The Connected Clinic: Understanding Network Infrastructure, Security, and Advocacy for Better Patient Care: reliable, secure connectivity.

🚐 Mobile healthcare is having a moment — and our job is to make sure it becomes something much bigger.

We’re grateful to KCTV5 for covering the Mobile Healthcare Association’s conference in Kansas City and helping bring this conversation to a broader audience.

Nearly 560 people joined us this year, with almost 40 mobile clinics on display — a powerful reflection of how quickly this field is growing.

But the bigger story isn’t the number of people in the room or vehicles on the show floor.

It’s what comes next.

As MHA CEO Mary Ellen Beliveau shared with KCTV: “The nation is finally waking up and saying, we have to bring care to them.”

That’s the opportunity in front of us.

Over the next year, we want to keep building the evidence, partnerships, sustainable models, and collective voice that can move mobile healthcare from the margins of the healthcare system toward a more integrated role in how communities access care.

We want more decision-makers to understand what this field makes possible. More organizations building meaningful partnerships. More programs equipped to demonstrate their impact. And more people recognize that bringing care closer to communities isn’t an alternative idea — it’s an important part of the conversation about the future of healthcare.

Kansas City brought the field together. Now we keep building. 🚐💜

Leaders from across the country gathered in Kansas City this weekend to discuss mobile health clinics as an option for rural healthcare access.

🚐 Day 3 is underway in Kansas City — and this morning gave us a lot to think about. 💜

Atul Grover and Kevin Sowers opened our final day with Making Mobile Healthcare Essential: Building the Evidence, Partnerships, and Models to Last — a delightful, candid, and incredibly informative conversation that covered a lot of ground.

From partnerships and data to AI, margins, community needs, and the realities of healthcare today, their conversation explored what it takes to build models that can create impact and last.

A theme that kept coming through: knowing the value of your work is only part of the equation. You also have to be able to communicate that value to the people making decisions.

How do we tell our story? How do we use data to strengthen it? How do we think differently about partnerships and emerging technology? And how do we connect the work happening in communities to the priorities of the organizations we want at the table?

There weren’t simple answers — and that was part of what made the conversation so valuable.

💡 It was a reminder to think bigger about the story we tell, the evidence behind it, and the partnerships that can help turn good work into lasting impact.

A thoughtful and energizing way to begin Day 3. Thank you, Atul and Kevin, for giving our community plenty to keep thinking — and talking — about. 🚐✨
