🦇 As Halloween approaches, we think the only thing scary about senior living is how many myths are out there. 🕷️

For example, many people worry it will be difficult to make friends in a new community. In fact, researchers believe that senior housing communities are ideal for reducing loneliness among older adults, where they are surrounded by peers who share similar life experiences.

EverTrue Affordable Housing communities offer many activities and diverse opportunities for social engagement between neighbors — in addition to the clubs and interest groups residents can join.

Jeaneen found friends and community by founding a walking club when she moved into EverTrue Hilltop Heights. With all the walking and other activities that keep Jeaneen and her friends busy, she says “I might be 89 but I feel like I’m 30.”

🎉 Joy Week | September 21–25 🎉

What a wonderful week of fun, laughter, and making memories! 💖 Our residents enjoyed a full week of exciting activities, delicious food, and special moments spent together. From the smiles to the laughter, Joy Week was filled with happiness, fellowship, and plenty of reasons to celebrate! 🥰🍽️🎶

🎃 While Halloween is known for spooky stories, there’s nothing scary about senior living. 🎃

We know that thinking about senior living can come with a lot of questions... and sometimes a few fears too, like: Will I make friends? Will I feel lonely? Can I still be independent? What if downsizing feels overwhelming?

EverTrue is using October to replace fear with facts, tackling some real-life concerns older adults and families have about senior living and aging. We'll share practical tips, expert insights and real-life stories on topics like friendship, mental health, independence, downsizing and more.

Big thank you to our residents who came out to enjoy some fun and laughter, to our team members who helped host this special week of activities and community building and to all the extra fun partners and guests who helped us make this week special.

It’s officially Joy Week at EverTrue and Centennial Plaza! ☮️🩵🌼

Marking EverTrue’s 12th Joy Week — and growing each year — this week is all about spreading joy to our residents and team members, and celebrating all the things that make EverTrue Affordable Housing incredible.

While we always do our best to create a community and environment that provides joy, this week puts that goal into laser focus. Not only do we focus on spreading joy in our community, but we also work to create Joy for others in the greater community too.

As Yom Kippur begins, we pause to recognize the sacred, Day of Atonement observed by the Jewish community around the world.

Devoted to reflection, forgiveness and spiritual renewal, Yom Kippur invites us all to examine how we can grow in compassion, seek reconciliation and serve one another with greater understanding.

We are honored to support residents of many faith backgrounds at Centennial Plaza, where every person is appreciated and respected.

💙 Cancer Prevention & Early Detection at Centennial! 💙
Here at Centennial, our Service Coordinator is passionate about promoting cancer prevention and early detection for our residents.

We are proud to partner with Siteman Cancer Center to bring prostate and colon cancer screenings right here on site, making these important preventive services more convenient and accessible for our residents.

A huge THANK YOU to the wonderful staff at Siteman for stopping by and taking such great care of our residents! We truly appreciate your time, compassion, and dedication.
