Our scholarship recipient Marquise White had a lot to say about how FIRE Retirees changed his life. He successfully completed EMT school and begins paramedic school in January. He hopes to start the FIRE Academy next fall. The retirees, along with The Athletes To First Responder Charitable Fund, Inc., continue to donate thousands of dollars to our youth and community. Visit the website to see how you can donate to the cause.

The FIRE Retirees held our annual picnic with retired and active firefighters, EMS, family, and friends. Each year is a blessing that we get to fellowship with one another. This year, one of our EMT scholarship recipients joined us and gave an amazing speech about his gratitude for his new relationship with the fire retirees. We had an amazing time.

We celebrate those of us that are here, while paying respect to those that have passed on. As usual the the fellowship, food and music was all great.
