SLU ATLAS Program

SLU ATLAS Program The purpose of the Atlas Program at Saint Louis University is to raise awareness and promote discussion on global issues in effort to create social change.

Atlas Week at Saint Louis University is an annual event that recognizes the international dimension of SLU's academic programs and celebrates the University's role in international education and service. During the Atlas Program, students, faculty, and staff from across the University participate by organizing events which highlight the international dimensions of their programs. The Signature Sym

posium, presented by internationally renowned speakers who have dedicated their lives to issues of political and social justice, is traditionally held on Thursday of the week. The weeklong celebration culminates on Friday with the Billiken World Festival. The Parade of Nations kicks off the event, which also features live cultural music and dance, academic and informational booths, carnival games and international cuisine.

IT'S TIIIIIIIIIIIIME!!

The submission form for Atlas 2026 is now LIVE! The 26th Annual Atlas Week will be held April 12-18, 2026. The theme for this year is "For those who come after: Building a better tomorrow in today's world". As authoritarianism and human rights violations intensify globally, this theme explores the ways in which people defend democracy, empower individuals to resist oppressive systems, and ensure that human rights remain central in the face of rising injustice. How can educators and students work together to reclaim and protect justice in societies where fundamental freedoms are increasingly under threat?
