Our technical will be led by Morgan Cowell of Great Plains Piano in Omaha, Nebraska.

“After a brief attempt at a degree in music
education, I enrolled at the North Bennet Street in
Boston where I graduated with a certificate in
piano technology. While there, I joined the PTG
and achieved my RPT. I came back home to
Nebraska to set up Great Plains Piano, and now
over a decade later, I work with a great team of
technicians. We do everything from rebuilding to
retail.
PTG conventions big and small are some of my
favorite days in the entire year! I was honored to
serve as the director for the 2023 annual
convention in Arlington. Virginia. Last year I was
made a permanent instructor for the Grand Action
Regulation course at the Home office. In my
limited spare time I enjoy mentoring,
woodworking, board games, Islay Scotch, tool
hoarding, and inventing.
My class is entitled “Is it Dead?” takes a broad look
at the typical aging piano, and I will give you some
points to think about before writing that estimate
to the customer. We will have hands-on examples
of failed pin blocks, cracked boards, split bridges,
and much more.”

This go fund me is to support Ashley Vinson who was impacted by the St Louis tornado on Friday the 16th. Ashley works hard taking care of her family and arranging the lives of a dozen technicians at work. Her work has touched the lives of thousands of people and now it’s our turn to lend a hand.

She, like most in the path of this tornado, was hit with no warning. Thankfully everyone is physically ok but she has had to evacuate her home, with no assurances they will ever be able to return. Particularly hard on a family with two school aged children.

Please consider a donation of any amount to help ease the extra burdens she will be facing in the coming weeks/months. All funds will go directly to Ashley for any additional expenses not covered by insurance.
