This community never fails to amaze!!! Thank you to each and every person that came out and fished the 4th annual St Charles County Hawg Hunters open. Once again we set a new record launching 82 boats to battle it out on the cloudy but always beautiful Mark Twain lake. A bunch of fish came across the scales as all the teams wanted to see how they stacked up against some of the best anglers on the lake. An amazing 27 boxes of can goods were donated to the Ralls county food pantry totaling well over 1000 cans, huge shout out to blu sky restoration for donating $500 to a random winner for donating can goods!! As we try to pay it forward to the community that lets us enjoy its beautiful lake. We would Like to thank all our sponsors for helping us throw such a great event, a major shoutout to the country inn and roosters bar and grill for Collecting can goods for us and also spreading the word within the local community. We have bigger and better things planned for next year including kids tournament during the day and also a camera boat doing on the water follow ups throughout the day. The date for next year is May 22, we have moved forward two weeks to avoid fishing for freedom. Looking forward to next year already. again thank you everyone for coming out and enjoying the day with us.

First place was the big bag outdoors team of Michael Hamilton jr and Gentry Matthew’s with an impressive bag of fish weighing 17.80 which brought home $2682 included was first side pot of $1000. Straight from the winners mouth. We fished Main lake points and bluff banks. We throw creature style baits and shakey heads .Most of the fish were shallow in the dirty water. We really believed that we had to fish slow and methodical to get bites. A Major contributor to our success was the Big Bag Secret Sauce in the Craw scent. We applied it to all of our lures and it helped keep them on for a second longer in order to feel those inactive bass.

Second place was the hawg hunters own Todd Marten and Mark Murray with a great bag of mark twain lake bass weighing 17.27 they also tied second big bass with a solid fish weighing 4.62

Third place went to the team of Gary Dentienne and Clint McDonald with a total weight of 15.83. Being the the side pot pays as they added $400 to there total because the team above them didn’t get in it. This team also had a bass weighing 4.62

Fourth place went to the solo team of Jon brewer with a total weight of 14.92

Fifth place went to the team of Doug Buher and Todd Sunfield with there limit of bass weighing 14.35

Sixth place was a previous winner in Henry Fleddermann and Liam Bonnet with a mark Twain limit weighing 14.20

Seventh place went to the man running the bump tank all day Brent Basler and Mike smith with a total weight of 13.94

Eight place went to another hawg hunters member the father and son duo of Rich and Tyler Hermes with a total weight of 13.92

Ninth place went to a team that’s used to being in the check line in Steve Weber and Sam Phillips with a limit of bass weighing 13.79
