Have you ever wondered what humans are meant to learn from cats living outside?
They are born under porches, sleep in parking lots and raise their kittens in silence while learning which humans are safe and which ones are not.
Some spend their whole lives never knowing what it feels like to truly relax.
And yet they still purr. Still play. Still trust again after being failed.
Maybe that’s part of the lesson.
Not every soul arrives here to live an easy life.
Some arrive to awaken compassion in others.
To remind us that life is still life, even when it’s inconvenient, unseen or forgotten.
Every community cat was once somebody’s responsibility and they survive because a handful of humans decided they mattered anyway.

😸 The fosters.
😸 The volunteers.
😸 The ones leaving food bowls out before work.
😸 The ones sitting quietly earning the trust of a frightened cat one slow blink at a time.
Maybe the question isn’t, “Why are there so many homeless cats?”
Maybe the deeper question is, “What kind of world are we building for the lives that depend on us?” 🐾
