St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach

This is TNR. Volunteer trappers and caretakers putting in amazing effort to get all of the cats in a colony spayed/neutered, vaccinated and eartipped. It changes things. Unwanted litters of kittens, spreading of disease, injury during fights- it’s no longer happening. Cats are happier and healthier. Thank you to Operation SPOT and all of the amazing volunteers dedicating your time. St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach can’t say THANK YOU enough.

We are all volunteer and donation based. We would not exist without donations and people donating their time. If you’re able to donate, every little bit helps make these clinics possible.

38 cats in the room today. All to live better lives starting tomorrow.

It’s amazing that 42 cats can be spayed/neutered in one day. Thank you Operation SPOT and Thomas Dunn Learning Center. You make it possible!!

Here’s the better news- we’re doing it again in October!!!

And we’re looking for a sponsor to help us make the clinic possible. $2,000 won’t cover all of our expenses but a good portion of it. Could you team up with friends, family or coworkers to support the next clinic of 40 cats fixed in one day?

Need a Monday tip to help start the week? Tip those community cats!

When unfixed males come in for TNR surgery they are usually beat up from fighting other males. Not these handsome fellas! Their coats are pristine. They don’t howl and fight. They don’t breed to produce more unwanted kittens. Good job boys. And a huge thank you to the humans that cared enough to make this happen.

If only they were all so lucky. It’s not easy, but it’s easier than you think. Let’s fix all the community cats!

Good morning. St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach wants to apologize for any mail/donations/communication that was have missed. Unfortunately we were likely affected by the unfortunate scenario of dumped mail. We were shocked to see the news story and notice that our PO Box and Post Office is in the affected zipcode. Please feel free to send us an email with details for anything that you notice, a check was never cashed etc.

Thank you all for the understanding. All of our volunteers including us as Board Members do our best to keep up with the non profit tasks, in addition to our full time jobs and other commitments in life. A situation like this surely does not help.

Every $5 helps us fix a feral cat before winter. Winter seems so far away, it seems like kitten season is still in full swing. It’s $5 Feral Friday for so many reasons!

Right now there’s a colony of feral cats living somewhere close by, hungry and multiplying fast. Without assistance, that’s more cats to suffer through harsh weather, more kittens born into hardship and more strain placed on local shelters.

We trap, spay/neuter, vaccinate, then return those cats safely to their environment. TNR is the most humane and effective way to help these cats and it works!

Every community cat that comes into one of our traps has a better life ahead. Sometimes we see those that need a little extra help. Like the one pictured with terrible matted fur. So he got a neuter, vaccines plus a haircut. And then we realized he wasn’t feral but very friendly! We want every cat that crosses our path to live its best life, so if not feral then we advocate for rescue. This guy will be adopted and live indoors.

$5 covers a small portion of one surgery for a feral. St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach total cost for every TNR surgery varies, but our average cost per cat is $50. If we come together, every donation matters and makes a huge difference to the life of these feral cats. Thank you for caring about the animals that can’t ask for help themselves.

And thank you from our small, all-volunteer nonprofit! We can’t do this without you. ♥️

So thankful to be fixing cats today with the wonderful team of Operation SPOT! There’s a room full of community cats, who aren’t very happy to be here. It’s too bad they don’t understand HOW MUCH BETTER their lives are going to be because of this. TNR surgery means less spreading of disease among the colony. Females don’t have continuous litters of kittens. Males don’t fight and injure each other. This day makes a world of difference in their lives and the humans who care for them.
