The newest and most innovative, fully-accessible amusement park & greenhouse, in the WORLD, for EVERY body especially those with physical & mental disabilities & our Veterans, located in metro St. Following confirmation from Spirit of Discovery Park’s former nonprofit consultants, Wonderland Development Group, an ultra-accessible® amusement park is set to be built in Olathe, Kansas. The project is

a new venture by Lamar Hunt Jr.—owner of the Kansas City Mavericks hockey team and a member of the Kansas City Chiefs’ founding family—along with his son-in-law and business partner, James Arkell. In light of this development, the Board of Spirit of Discovery Park has voted to dissolve the organization, with remaining gifted funds to be donated to the Special Olympics Missouri in accordance with the Bylaws. The Board of Spirit of Discovery Park extends its heartfelt gratitude to all supporters, partners, and advocates who believed in the mission and helped champion a more inclusive future.
