Thanks to Dan Scott, Lindell Huskey, and Steve Kingsland for helping on the Oakland cemetery work day. The rain almost kept us from working but we started at 10 and it went ok even though it was a little wet. The cut tree mess is finished, the grass is cut, and everything is trimmed.

We are going to try to have the work day and start at 10 o’clock. We don’t know if the ground is to wet to run the zero turns but we will try. We can still w**d eat and clean up the tree mess and other things.

Steve Kingsland and Ray Huskey finishing up splitting the big oak tree next to the cemetery. Our annual work day is this Saturday at 9 . If it’s not raining come and help refresh the cemetery. If you’re reading this you probably have relatives and friends buried here. Remember them and help keep the cemetery beautiful!

We are related to Peter Huskey and Peter’s sister Martha Jane Ogle. When I was a kid my grandpa told me our family was the first settlers of Gatlinburg but I didn’t believe him until later on in life I found out it was true! Kinda cool!
