Some breast cancer survivors become sisters and friends. Thank you Gretchen Smith for believing in Valeda's Hope. You fought and won breast cancer twice. Celebrating your 10th year of survivorship with you was amazing! You recognized 14 women for your 10th anniversary and Valeda's Hope was included. Exercise decreases your chances in getting breast cancer. Black women are dying at an alarming rate in St.Louis , Missouri due to breast cancer. We will live and not die. We will make our mammogram appointments and keep our mammogram appointments. We will follow up if needed. We got this!! Breast cancer won't win.Early detection is the best detection.

Valeda's Hope was able to bring breast health education to some young women in a winning way!
1. You are not your breasts.
2. Be confident
3. It's okay to have a pity party but don't put too much in the pity.
4. Life is short, enjoy it while you can.
5. Put on your pearls, girl, and keep it moving!
6. Show me your friends equals your future. Who are your friends.
7. Know your body!
8. Don't ignore something that feels or seems wrong.
9. Do hard things, a plank is hard!!!
10. Love on you a little more!!
