"I would rather be ashes than dust; I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot; I would rather be in a superb meteor, every atom of me in a magnificent glow than in a sleepy and permanent planet; the proper function of man is to live, not to exist; I should not waste my days in trying to prolong them; I shall USE my time." ~Jack London

For my birthday this year, I'm asking that you give food to the hungry, a toy and a hug to an orphan. Visit the elderly, those alone in hospitals and nursing homes. Love those who feel abandoned and neglected. Be the church. Be God with skin on. Be the reason someone believes that they're loved. I've chosen this because Facebook doesn't really care about the downtrodden they just want money to flow through their specifically chosen non-profits. We need to do better than fill a non-profits endowment fund.
I hope you'll consider this direct giving challenge as a way to celebrate with me and be the change that you want to see in the world. Love Never Fails.
