In Salesian spirituality, we believe God is found in the ordinary - in the quiet places, the simple beauties, the small encounters that draw our hearts to gratitude. Few people at Viz embodied this better than Sister Isabel Clark, who had a deep love of nature and helped students see creation as a place to meet God.

Our Sister Isabel Trail, named in her honor, invites us to slow down, notice, breathe, and reconnect with the sacred gift of the natural world. Our incredible Fathers’ Club spends time on the trail giving it some much-needed spring cleanup each year! 🧹🌳

53 years after graduation, the bonds of the Class of ‘73 are as strong as ever ❤️🌙

Eight of our incredible alumnae recently gathered in Springfield, Illinois, for their 37th annual girls trip—proving that sisterhood truly lasts a lifetime. From touring Abraham Lincoln’s Museum and home to reminiscing about their days at Viz over 50 years ago, their time together was filled with laughter, learning, and cherished memories.

Though they missed two beloved friends this year—Ann Herzog and Maureen Graff Jennings—the spirit of togetherness remained at the heart of their trip ❤️🌙

Here’s to lifelong friendships and the enduring legacy of Viz alumnae ❤️🌙

Wayback Wednesday 🌙❤️

We’re taking it back to the early days of Viz athletics with this adorable racquetball team photo from 1982–1983!

Fun fact: we believe the very first Viz racquetball team may have formed around 1981… but we need your help to confirm! 👀

Were you part of those early teams? Do you recognize any of these faces or have memories to share? Drop a comment and help us fill in the history! 💬❤️

We’re proud to celebrate alumna The Honorable Mary Elizabeth Ott ‘78, who was recognized last week as a recipient of the Women’s Justice Public Service Award by Missouri Lawyers Media.

After more than 20 years in solo practice, Judge Ott has served on the St. Louis County bench since 2008 and as a circuit judge since 2018. As Presiding Judge (2021–2024), she led with clarity and resilience through major challenges while advancing key initiatives for the court.

Her guiding principle: “Do what seems fair, because that is generally what the law is.” ❤️🌙

This Thankful Thursday, we’re filled with gratitude as we celebrate a major milestone in our Fellowship program ❤️🌙

Today, our Juniors and Seniors are presenting at their Inaugural Fellowship Symposium, sharing the incredible opportunities and experiences they’ve had throughout this journey. Their excitement, growth, and confidence are a true testament to what this program was designed to do.

We are especially thankful for our amazing alumnae who helped bring this vision to life. Your willingness to volunteer your time, mentor, open your workplaces, and allow students to shadow and learn alongside you has made an immeasurable impact. Because of you, these young women gained real insight into diverse career paths and what their futures can hold.

The enthusiasm from each student has been inspiring—they’ve embraced every opportunity and are already thinking about how to carry these experiences forward into their futures.
To our alumnae: thank you for investing in the next generation. Your support is shaping leaders, dreamers, and doers. ❤️🌙
