Pitter patter may fall the rain
But we will not postpone again.

So please come dressed to stay dry
And we will give it the old college try!

Okay folks, time is getting short.

I am told that we will be there tomorrow, rain or more rain.

So come dressed to hunt in the wet grass.

Easter Bunny will be there, maybe inside, maybe in a tent. Don't know what reservations E.B. has made.

You know folks, Steve Nelson, Jack Rollins, and especially Gene Autry probably said it best.......

Though, we cannot promise that Easter will be bright and gay, (remember LAST year's weather for our Easter Egg Hunt? Or as we call it..."The Hunt That Wasn't"), we will give it a shot again this year.

Weather permitting.

We've got over 2000 eggs and some Golden Ticket baskets, all ready and waiting for you.

As we say "Good Bye" to snow and cold weather (hopefully) we look to warmer days and frolicking in the sunshine.

Yes. (Some folks do frolic.)

And, when you get to the second weekend of April, as you all go out to find your own place in the sun, stop by on Friday or Saturday.

Or both. We won't judge.

Stop in, and say "Hi!"

Then, as long as you're there, go ahead and get some meaty stuff from our grills for yourself, and your friends and family, or just yourself, if you want.

Again, we won't judge.

Oh! And sides! Don't forget the sides. Potato salad, and beans, and corn on the cob.

Whew! Almost missed the sides. Lion Becky would holler at me if I forget the sides.

But, anyway.... Do that "Hi" thing we talked about, and the meat thing, and the sides thing.

Did I forget anything?

Dangit! Drinks! I forgot drinks.

Different sodas and water.

Okay. That's it. Thanks for tuning in.

Well folks.

It's that pesky "Circle of Life" thingy.

We have our BBQs, that pesky carnival thing, Turkey Day Football Luncheon, Trivia, Pancakes with Santa, etc.

And now we come back around to the Easter Egg Hunt.

The only TRUE first sign of Spring.

However, the quote that we always hear "April showers bring May flowers", is never, never fully heard.

Last year, we discovered that the complete quote is...

"April showers bring May flowers, and wash out the Easter Egg Hunt that you have been planning and working toward for a month or so."

There are some folks remember hearing an additional "Booyah!" at the end of the quote as well.

Yeah. Something like that.

However, we are at it yet again this year, hoping and praying for the bestest and goodest weather for our little outing.

Well folks,

It is December 1st, and as we speak, metaphorically, snow is coming down like, well, I don't know, whatever snow comes down like when you want to emphasize that it is really, really coming down.

Choose your own option here.

Make it creative.

Anyway, since it is December 1st, and the snow is doing it's thing. almost all minds turn to dreaming of tropical beaches, with drinks that have little umbrellas.

And sunscreen. Mustn't forget the sunscreen.

OR, they may be turning to something a bit more attainable, like maybe...

PANCAKES WITH SANTA.

'Twas the month before Christmas,
and all through the Club,
the Lions were planning
their Santa's Morning grub.

Now, we are not talking
about Santa's Christmas Morning treats.
No morning milk. No cookies. No.
It's your Pancake and Sausage eats.

It's true my friends,
The time is coming soon
to grab a knife, a fork,
and quite possibly a spoon.

It's that Pancakes with Santa
time of the year
when we al get together
for some food, fun, and cheer.

Pancakes, griddle cakes, or flapjacks,
(call them what you will)
will be piled on your plate, with sausage,
until you've had your fill.

There'll be hot chocolate to drink,
crafts, and cookies to decorate, by you.
(And don't forget The Big Guy
Will be there to visit with you too!)

Trivia comes, and Trivia goes.

But not yet. It is still coming.

But it's one week away.

Several thoughts/quotes are running through my mind at this time:
