Another ramp build in the books! I think this is our sixth ramp build with GHSP and it is always rewarding and really fun. Our girls are able to apply the skills they learn at LitShop to a project that has an immediate and tangible impact on the life of a neighbor. We already have our Spring 2026 ramp build booked, because we love this collaboration! Thanks to our friends at GHSP for creating such meaningful opportunities to support our community.

More great news from LitShop! Thanks to an anonymous donor through the YouthBridge Community Foundation's Youth Entrepreneurship Grant, we've received an additional $20,000 for our Entrepreneurship program expansion. What does this mean for us?

* Expanded market opportunities: more events and maker's market dates means more opportunities for our youth to expand their client base and earn income
* New program offerings: we'll be able to fund cohorts of Advanced PrintShop: Make Your Own Merch through all of 2026
* Better equipment: our market booth will get a huge glowup, and we'll also be able to invest in more equipment, software, and supplies at the shop to help kids develop their products

We are thrilled that yet another organization believes in our young entrepreneurs and understands the impact of investing in their potential. Thank you YouthBridge Community Foundation for helping make this a reality!

On Friday, LitShop was awarded a $10,000 Friends of Youth grant by the Optimist Club of St. Louis. This is our second year receiving Optimist Club funding, and we'll be using it to expand our Entrepreneurship program. In 2026, LitShop youth who participate in our Maker's Markets will have additional opportunities to sell their handmade gifts and artwork, and we'll be adding an advanced version of PrintShop: Make Your Own Merch specifically for youth who participate in our markets. With this generous funding from the Optimist Club of St. Louis, we'll be able to buy our own branded market setup (instead of borrowing!) and invest in equipment used by our youth when developing their products.

The Optimist Club of St. Louis began in 1916 and has been supporting local youth in the city of St. Louis for over 108 years through programs and service projects that the Club is involved in, in addition to awarding annual community grants all in the name of Optimism.

Our Rosie Circle launch has been amazing! So far, we've got 36 founding members contributing over $500/month in support of building powerful girls. We'd love to get that number to 50. Just $5/month helps us continue to empower girls and gender-expansive youth through reading, writing, building and making. Read more about the Rosie Circle and join today at www.litshopstl.org/support
