How Do You Feel When You See A Woman Struggle And Eventually Pass Out Owing To Birth Complications or Inability To Access The Care They Need During Pregnancy And Delivery!

It brings to every human with conscience a feeling of guilt where there is something one would have done, A call for action or that of complacency by failing to help raise awareness and understanding for a healthy Pregnancy journey!

For us at One world Charities Mission, It’s a call for action and we respond appropriately by making sure we continually commit to educating vulnerable households in the rural communities we serve especially those without any access to healthcare on the need of safer health habits and precautions.

At Our Nigeria Hospitals, By 9:00 AM Every last Friday of the month, We hold Free training and seminars for traditional birth attendants where we guide them on hygiene and safety concerns when trying to help pregnant mothers in interior villages because early preparation to run and seek for help in Hospitals before transition stage guarantees more saver deliveries than waiting for it to start.

This training is Free and We have Vehicles available to convey interested participants to and fro .

Realizing the set goal of reducing the high rate of maternal mortalities requires much more commitment and deliberate intentions.

As projected by the Nigeria Federal Ministry of Health during the launch of the Maternal and Neonatal Mortality Reduction Innovation and Initiative in November 2024.

One World Charities Mission Hospital and Pharmacy have in the thirteen (13) months of our sensitization and advocacy against maternal mortalities come across very sad situations where 89% of women in rural communities without functional healthcare facilities next to them rely heavily on Traditional Birth Attendants (TBA) who sometimes don’t have any understanding of how science and modern medicine can help improve and increase safer births and reduce complications during pregnancy that most time result to fatalities.

It was embracing the sector approach to solving these problems that informed our decision to train all traditional birth attendants in Ogoniland who currently act as help persons to these pregnant women in remote communities without access to care on the need to understand the dangers of recklessly handling pregnant women during pregnancy.free at no cost.

Every last Friday Women from all Ogoni communities who assist other women in communities with health difficulties usually honor the invitation to come and learn the health regulations and precautions on what you must not do as a traditional Birth attendants and when the duty of care becomes exclusively that of the certified and trained health professionals.

COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDERS REACTION TO THE MEDICAL OUTREACH HELD IN LUEKU COMMUNITY KHANA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF RIVERS STATE IN COLLABORATION WITH THE PHARMACEUTICAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN STUDENTS UNIVERSITY OF PORTHARCOURT CHAPTER.

Every time we plan our medical help programs, the basic criteria for beneficiary community choices have always been vulnerable communities in nearly helpless situations.

Moving with a team of over thirty personnel and volunteers to offer support and help to people living in the communities of Bua-Lueku was an act driven by compassion.

Our consolations and motivations to do more rested on the smiles on the faces of poor women, vulnerable children and older persons of these communities when we attended to them .

The active participation of community leaders in reshaping their communities and their concern for what brings joy to the people they are leading was another great feedback from the Lueku engagement over the weekend.

We see the terrible state of healthcare in these communities and continually believe that just ignoring them worsens their condition.

Community builders like Chief (Barr.) BRIGHTEN SAAGWE the Paramount Ruler of Nyogor Community deserve commendation for mobilizing their communities to understand how best they can utilize opportunities from non profit agencies by conducting themselves peacefully.

Just imagine what expectant mothers in these communities go through if they have complications during childbirth, The chances of success is very slim.

We are open to supports and collaborations that keep us in the hearts of communities in need of medical help because we cannot pretend not the know the challenge and pains the absence of healthcare facilities and personnel cause people who live in such environment.

We are here in Lueku community for the Pharmaceutical Students Association of Nigeria PANS University of Portharcourt chapter and One World Charities Mission Health Outreach.

The situation is challenging and really sad!

We will be talking to Community leaders and Government to see how we can continue this interventions for communities that lack healthcare facilities.

We are grateful to the Chief of Staff Khana Local Government Council who received the delegation on behalf of the Local Government Chairman Dr. Thomas Ariar Bariere, Hon. Chief Barilugbene Sampson , Nakara Doosu Khana Local Government Supervisor for Works and other Lueku Community Leaders for ensuring that the exercise is going on smoothly.

People living in rural communities without health care facilities are painfully going through a whole lot and we can’t ignore them.
