đź–¤ Honoring the Life & Legacy of Anthony Charles Gallowayđź–¤
Black Pride St. Louis joins our community in mourning the passing of Anthony Charles Galloway, former President of Black Pride St. Louis.
Anthony holds a powerful place in our history as the youngest President of Black Pride St. Louis. His leadership, vision, and commitment helped shape the foundation of our organization and the broader Black Pride movement.
His impact reached beyond St. Louis. Anthony was awarded the Leadership Award by the International Federation of Black Prides, now known as the Center for Black Equity, recognizing his dedication to advancing Black LGBTQIA/SGL visibility, equity, and empowerment.
Anthony was more than a leader. He was an advocate, organizer, artist, and community builder who understood that Black Pride is more than an event. It is a movement. It is visibility. It is belonging. It is home.
As we reflect on his life and legacy, we give thanks for his service, his courage, and his contributions to Black Pride St. Louis and our community.
We extend our deepest condolences to Anthony’s family, friends, loved ones, colleagues, and all who had the honor of knowing him.
Rest in power, Anthony Charles Galloway.
Your leadership mattered.
Your service mattered.
Your legacy lives on.
đź–¤ Black Pride St. Louis honors you.
