📚✏️ Free School Supplies + Back-to-School Support for Families! ✏️📚

The team at The Mission Attempt is proud to partner with National Council of Jewish Women - St. Louis Section to help local families get ready for the new school year with dignity, support, and care. ❤️

Families who qualify for the free/reduced lunch program are invited to sign up for our upcoming August Back-to-School Shopping Experience, where students will have the opportunity to “shop” for:
🎒 FREE backpacks
✏️ School supplies
👕 Clothing items
💛 Additional resources for the school year

We know back-to-school season can place a financial strain on families, and we want every child to walk into the classroom feeling confident, prepared, and celebrated.

Spaces are limited, so registration is encouraged!

Please join us in sending a major congratulations to our co-founder, Teona McGhaw Ward, whose unwavering advocacy, allyship, and deep commitment to service continues to make a lasting impact across North County, the St. Louis region, and the state of Missouri.

As President of the Missouri Women’s Political Caucus, Teona has consistently shown what it means to lead with purpose, integrity, and heart. Her work—often behind the scenes—has helped shape pathways for equity, representation, and opportunity for so many.

We are proud to share that she is being recognized by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, St. Louis Metropolitan Chapter , as a Trailblazer and Torchbearer—an honor that reflects both her legacy and her continued leadership in our communities.

Teona is truly an unsung shero, and this recognition is well deserved—and long overdue.
